Of course not because he’s working on their behalf.

I wouldn't say he's working on their behalf, but he definitely doesn't want to damage his business ties for sure.
But he's not a Chinese citizen. I don't see where he would be interested in their politics or why it would make good sense to do so. And I don't see where he is trying to push communism in the US, it seems the opposite of that.
So in what way is he "working on their behalf"?

How am I "on his side"? I can't say he's close to perfect, but most people like that don't even engage with the public at all. I don't think he needs public support to do the things you are talking about.
