This game has been running like arse the last two or so hours on my rig (3080, 5800x) was good until the first couple open field bosses.

I’m sorry to hear so many people are having issues. I was worried if it was going to run on my PC so I got it for the PlayStation. Runs great.

I'm about 3 hours in, ran into my first real boss, and got my bitch arse smoked for half an hour before tapping out. Think it's time to do some farming

I just found out that sorcery is, once again, OP (at least at low level).
I was getting smashed two-handing my axe as a hero. Sorcery changed that.

Finally beat the first "real" boss of the game after seventy-bilion tries. The servers must be slammed because there were a ton of gold signs before the fog, but 99% of the time the summon failed. Finally gave up and did it solo (well, my wolf spirit ashes came along as well ).
Think I'm tapping out after playing for almost 12 hours since the midnight release

I’m already about to quit this game. I haven’t played a FS game since DSII, but I am dying nonstop and I can’t even unlock leveling up. I feel like the controls are super laggy.

We must be playing different games. And u can unlock leveling up in about 3 minutes lol just follow the road northeast from the church then when u get to the camp run around the left side of it to the rest site

I have lost probably 20k runes trying to continue on. If that bitch is in the cave and the yellow line of magic shite just wasn’t showing up for me then that’s it.

I am on PlayStation I have no clue how to co-op either. Would love any help. I just left it on the respawn screen while I watch the LSU baseball game.

This game really requires you to think about Soulsborne differently. It’s an open world DS, but, on top of that, they added so many new tools into our kit.
I’m just past Margit, so I’m obviously no pro. However, I have found that when an area or mob is too powerful just leave and go explore somewhere new. Try new tactics (jump r2 is busted). Try sorceries. Try new spirit summons. Try whatever. There seems to always be something new to find. It’s a slower paced game story wise and I’m in love with it.
Don’t beat your head into the same wall. There’s plenty more to bust your noggin.

Yeah after reading this thread, it just confirms this just isn’t my game. I enjoy the hell watching others play it because the gameplay looks great. But it also looks frustrating as frick, typical for a Souls game

Game is incredible.
Started as prisoner, found an awesome staff and a twin blade.
Riding around zipping into battle with Torrent the horse just feels so satisfying.
I'm an unstoppable mage-dex build and I'm hooked.
The jumping mechanic is so satisfying as well
This game is so beautiful as well and the music is next level

Hopefully this doesn't come off as trollish but I watched an hour and a half or so on twitch and I am not sure if the combat element looked that great?
The creature design and music and scenery looked incredible but the combat was either rolling around + ankle slashing or jumping + overhead strike.
This was just based on a small section of watching a couple of twitch streamers so maybe it becomes more varied as the game goes along.
