I suck so bad at this game. I stepped away for a while and beat Ghost of Tsushima on hard thinking it would help. No chance. I can’t even make my way down the damn bridge without getting my arse kicked.

I guess the easiest way is to walk far enough onto the bridge to trigger the dragon who should take care of most of the enemies for you. But yeah, otherwise you likely won't be strong enough to take those enemies on yourself.

Kinda crazy. This game makes me feel like I’m incompetent and it’s only the first part of the game 
After doing some reading, I started off with Royalty so I wouldn’t completely suck. Maybe I chose the wrong class? I actually started getting good at parrying, but man, I haven’t even really started yet.

I don't even want to see videos or pictures of this game until I get my hands on my preordered copy. I usually wait until a price drop before I get any new game, but this one I don't want to wait for.
In a recent interview, Miyazaki said this about George R.R. Martin and the characters he came up with for the game:
“I think if we get a chance to show Martin and if he gets a chance to see the game and see these characters, I think he might be a bit shocked. When he wrote them, he was really envisioning something a little bit more human, a little bit more traditional human drama and fantasy characters. So I hope he gets a kick out of that.”

I actually found Sif to be one of the easier bosses in DS1. His attacks are pretty repetitive. What build are you running?

Preordered about a week ago.
Trying really hard to go into this blind. Been avoiding most video footage outside of listening to a few preview opinions from souls based content creators I follow.
They all seem hyped, that means this is likely a home run.

yeah, haven't watched anything but the story trailer (which will be the game's opening). Haven't seen an ounce of gameplay

I watched a couple of minutes of FightinCowboy's initial gameplay but not enough to really spoil anything. He is hyped as frick about this game.

ETA: I took the 25th off from work and plan to play it the second it releases (hopefully PlayStation allows us to do a pre-load for it).

Man I tried and I said I was not gonna do it, but that lasted to the exact minute the test went live. Lol. I played every minute that the test was available.

funny thing about Souls games is you go into every boss fight (well, this applies to me at least) and panic and get destroyed right away. It takes a couple or a few attempts to get a feel for the fight.
So yeah...first time I encountered him it seemed pretty daunting but I ended up beating up eventually while taking no damage. Black Knight Sword and staying underneath him was key. I ultimately decided to go into the fight wearing no armor so that I could move and roll quicker in order to stay under him.
Finished the Sen's Fortress level last night as well...Stone Golum ended up being very very easy with a similar strategy, but he moved so slow and there was a nice built in area to run to and hide/heal that I was able to beat him on the first try. Got whisked away to Anor Londo and will be trying that tonight.

Are people here getting this on console or PC? I am debating it based on the recent network issues FromSoft has had with their games. I would much rather play it on PC, but still unsure atm...
