On a side note, I'm curious about what the board feels about player messages nowadays. I find it rare that any of them are useful and NOT trolling. In the location above, there's a waterfall behind the giant throne and you can see a site of grace down below. It's clearly too high of a jump to get to it but I explored the area a good bit and can't find a way down (assuming I will later). But of course, tons of messages "try leaping" or "why is it always a jump", but also there are a lot of bloodstains that you can touch and clearly see people dying doing that very thing. Or if there a section of wall that almost looks like it could be a false wall, "LIAR AHEAD", so I spend a minute or so smashing all the walls in the area.

I get that it is probably more of a sentimental "this is just part of souls games" thing, and obviously I could simply not read them, but I wouldn't be too bothered if they did away with them altogether.

I would have never thought to parry them if not for a message I saw on the ground. It's not easy...my percentage of success in parrying that quick move they do is pretty low, but luckily there aren't a ton of them and they don't respawn.

After the initial spook factor faded and the parry secret was discovered, I was generally disappointed in the area, as there wasn't really much to it. It seemed like a pretty large zone with not a lot to find.

In fact, I'd say that's probably my only real criticism of the DLC. They created these huge areas with very challenging exploration to get there, but often times it seemed like empty space. You'd painstakingly try to get to a place that seemed important only to finally get there and not finding anything (or at best find some very insignifciant crafting item).

But that's a minor complaint for what has overall been a fantastic experience.

I can't beat the final boss yet but the challenge is what makes it fun to me.

This sums up basically half the DLC

Cerulean Coast, both Finger Ruins, Abyssal Woods. All massive, empty spaces

We should have gotten more unique bosses. Also there’s not enough new cool looking armor. The Solitude set is basically it for heavy. Gaius armor looks terrible
