Yes. Go to your equipment and edit a club or ball. One of the tabs in there will be club specs.

What's your putting strategy? I've even cheated and used the putt reading simulator and still suck

I still have the game helping with the distance control as that has been difficult to read though. I don’t have the shot preview on anymore. I don’t know, guess I just have a decent eye for the breaks. I actually found trying to aim to the preview was more difficult.

After a bit you start to get a pretty good feel for break on the putts.

This.

When using the auto-distance feature and the putting line feature, I can make 30-40 ft putts routinely, which simply isn't realistic. Without the aids, I've gotten pretty comfortable with the break and speeds of the putts to the point where my lag putts are usually close, while I also still have the possibility of misreads and missing fairly short/easy putts. I love it.

Did this last night. I had a ton that I never applied

I removed the shot preview last night and found that I was able to make more 10-12ft putts. Appreciate all the insight baws

the preview can help on some of the really big sweeping putts, but for the ones where you just need maybe a square or two of break, it messes me up more than just eyeballing it.

I don't really understand what the point of playing the career mode. Do you get any kind of currency or anything for winning a tournament?

Like in general? It has been a pretty steady staple of any sports game for decades now.

Yes, you get rewards points.

been enjoying this so far. really hated 2k. this just has a much better vibe to it.

once my medium distance putt game gets better i'll be doing much better. still just always a hair off most time.

one thing that is bugging me. im usually getting par or under for most holes. but when i let the game simulate holes on quick play in career, it more often than not gives me a ton of bogies. its frustrating to go into day two with a -2 or 3 to only start with a +1 or some something. is there anyway to limit this other than playing all 18 holes every time?

Yeah. I understand the concept of a career and progressing and what not. What I don't understand is how I can play a four round tournament, win, and still not have enough in game money to buy a new shirt or club.

I somewhat agree with this. It seems like an odd choice by EA. That said, you do get to improve your player with the XP gained, which improves your chances at winning the daily/weekly/seasonal tournaments where you can gain money. Not really sure I like that extra step...I think they are trying to entice folks to get in there and play every day which is annoying.

It's also a hell of a grind to go through all of the challenges to obtain free gear.

I'm playing career mode for the sole purpose of achievement trophies (winning the majors, fedex cup, etc).

Career modes are all I like to play. I hate playing online invariably against a bunch of people that have found out how to exploit the game.

The concept of career mode is pretty simple, you progressively build up your character's skills and equipment as they navigate through their career. Having played a ton of career modes in other games I could think of a million ways theirs could be improved but this was a solid effort.

It was pretty cool starting off in the amateur tournaments and getting to play a major as an amateur, playing as well as I possibly can, and still struggling to make the cut because the golfer's rating is so low.

If there's aesthetic stuff that I do want to buy I just use real money to get it. It is ridiculous to grind just for a new shirt or something. That said, you get a lot of rewards for things that you would do anyway, like you get coins as you cross a certain amount of yards played on a course.

The rewards get bigger the longer you play the career, which is typically how the modes are designed.

I think the game is too easy honestly . On the default settings(50%) I was shooting 30-40 under par . I bumped it up to 100% and am leading this tournament by 12 shots after 3 rounds . Have won every tourney since turning pro

felt pretty good.

im consistent enough that im rarely bogie. No way im under par every hole. maybe you got the gift

The only way to make it more fair is to turn off the putting lines but I want to play the Masters first . If tiu use your points to rank up your driving power and iron accuracy it is really easy . I see the downvotes but it is true

yes, the game is incredibly easy with putting lines on. Ridiculously easy.

Which is why after Day 1 with the game I turned the putting lines off and learned to actually play the game. It's not easy with putting lines off, so anyone bitching about the ease of the game while still using them deserves all the downvotes.

You are right . I just thought that increasing the AI in increments would make a difference but it didn’t

Well my AI is at 100%. As I just said I thought that would make a difference with the other players scores… but it didn’t . I have played without lines in challenges and am now in tourneys . Relax Alice , it will be ok

So why are you complaining about it not being hard enough, when you aren't changing the difficulty?

Not complying just saying it is a pretty easy game once you level up your player to hit it a Mile down the middle . Changing AI difficulty did not do anything and putting helps some but it is still not that difficult. Especially in the non majors fun game though
