EA College Football Small Update (Matt Brown)

Matt Brown (Extra Points) is the only guy I’ve seen that has access to EA’s CFB info and he’s been putting out updates in a newsletter. His latest update comes tomorrow but he gave us a small teaser LINK

3D college campus spaces would be completely new. Imagine them showing a realistic Toomer’s Corner or Denny Chimes at Alabama.

I'd like to be able to improve stadiums, especially for lower tier schools that I'm successful with.

Madden had Owner Mode, Coach Mode, and Player mode for franchises. Change Owner to AD for dynasties and boom profit.

Also needs create-a-player, create-a-team, create-a-stadium, and the ability to realign and customize conferences without mods.

Definitely.
I always want to create myself in sports games. For CFB I want to create a school, start out in I-AA, and try to work my way up into a power conference. That needs to be a game mode.

Y’all remember when they had that “build a team” website for a season? Loved messing with that thing. A whole mess of preloaded logos, thousands of custom ones and you were able to modify the entire roster - names, numbers, ratings, everything.

Yep.
I remember realigning every conference with very specific rules. All teams in a state had to be in the same conference and the conference could only be comprised of states that touch each other.
So for instance, the SEC was Miami, UCF, USF, FAU, FIU, FSU, UF, UGA, GT, GA State (who I am pretty sure was in the game by that point), AL, Auburn, South Carolina, Clemson. The divisions were Florida schools and GA/AL/SC schools.
The big hangup was that you could only change around the BCS bowl tie-ins. You couldn't change the non_BCS bowls. I would end up with really good teams in the Sun Belt and they went to shite bowl games.

They really only had one very bad edition near the end where they completely nerfed speed in the game. The previous year, people felt there was too much emphasis on speed, so the next year, speed was irrelevant. You’d regularly have defensive and offensive linemen chase down or flat out out run skill position players with speed ratings 20-30 points higher than their own. It was by far the worst football game I’ve ever played. I want to say that was NCAA 2010 because I’m pretty sure it was the season they launched Team builder and I had more fun creating schools from scratch and doing the recruiting than I did playing the games.
