So you're looking forward to 45 minutes of new Smash Bros content?

No, lol

This has been one of the worst E3s in recent memory.

Pretty terrible. Im an XBOX guy and they showed a lot of games. A lot of games I am not going to play. Where are the big story games. It is such a disappointment.

Looking forward to battlefield. Halo i guess. Starfield who knows. We got nothing from that.

Wow. Nothing on FF16 or FF7R pt 2 from square. And nothing on tomb raider for the 25th anniversary. Can’t tell you how much I don’t give a shite about anything marvel when it comes to gaming

It's not that I don't give a shite about Marvel games. On the contrary, I very much enjoy playing the good ones.

Guardians of the Galaxy could be good, but it's so obviously a reskin of 2020's Avengers which is quite possibly the most aggressively mediocre game I've ever played.

I feel like both FF16 and FF7 R2(?) are both a long ways off.

Another shitty E3 and a lot of devs will blame it on the virus. I don't know if it's because I'm getting older or game studios not giving a frick but I'm losing interest in all of it.

games overall suck arse now. it's the same repeated bullshite over and over again.

the problem is two fold: a lot of us grew up in the era when video games grew by leaps and bounds with each console and game and when devs were in the business of making good games 1st and money 2nd.

now devs are in the business of making money period and put out the same regurgitated bullshite year after year after year

That's certainly a part of it. Bloodsucking publishers like EA and Activision are killing development studios left and right.

Games though were a lot easier to make all the way up through the PS2 era.

Video games these days, especially those that really take advantage of the hardware, are like movie productions.

Developers are going to stick with established franchises and gameplay formulas that are proven to work.

Then the games themselves can be announced one day then not see release for another 5 years because of how much time and effort goes into creating them.

This is what drives the PS/XBox feud.

I don't know if Game Pass is the reason why, but I've never enjoyed being a gamer as much as I do right now. I feel like I've played a ton of quality games over the past couple years.

ETA: EA definitely sucks though.

For the last few years, I get so hyped awaiting the Bethesda presentation just wanting a crumb about TES6. Every year I’m disappointed.

I still don’t understand gaming companies not making games but that was the story of the last console generation.

With ES6, I feel like they don't want to take away from the success of ESO. I'd rather have a single player focused Elder Scrolls, but ESO isn't very far off. Plus, the world you can explore is absolutely massive.

That and it's far easier/cheaper just to keep churning out Skyrim ports.

I feel like the Guardians game has more opportunity to bring humor into the equation which may allow it to work better.

But did they not even try to get someone that sounds even reasonably close to Bautista to do Drax's voice work?
