none of this really scares me.
unless they really widen the criteria for a bannable offense, I have nothing to fear.
only thing I've done that is remotely close is beat a kid whose "dad works at microsoft".
don't hack games, don't pirate games. seems simple enough.

Not permabanned there really isn't.
Every time you read the Xbox forums the people who get permabanned were all hacking or stealing people's money through fake prestige lobbies on CoD
In other words, just pure fricking morons.
I have been an Xbox Ambassador for a year and also read those forums which are private for Ambassadors and admin only and the same thing. Only people who get permabanned are morons.
Hacking gamerscore, Borderlands 1&2 guns hacks, CoD wall hacks, using modio to change their avatars skin color and steal props from Live without paying for them, etc. and FWIW on the fake gamerscore they reset you, label you a cheater in your profile, and give you a warning before they ban you for good. So don't do it again after you are caught the first time.
Which is why I can say I am 100% certain that would never affect me or anyone here.
Do you know of anyone that has had an account permabanned on Xbox in the past 8 years?

Not even close really.
Jailbreak your phone all you want. You own it once you buy it but you do not own the content on The Apple store or the network. You agree to a ToS to use the network and the apps in the Apple store. You don't own those apps with a jailbroken phone or not.
I don't care what people do with their Xbox physically but they agree to a ToS that covers many things they can and can't do online with their hacked Xbox.
Same with Sony or did you forget that's why PSN got shut down for a month a few years back?

That'd kill off about 90% of the user base if those actions resulted in a ban.
