Disco Elysium coming to PS4/5 this month

I've been looking forward to this. An announcement of the actual date is coming this week and it's still expected to be this month. It was announced at the last game awards as coming to consoles this year with playstation being released in March.

That game is nuts, but in a good way. I've never had a game experience quite like it.

Not sure if I want it on PS5 or PC. I wonder if the controls will translate well to controller? Seems like something I'd rather enjoy on the couch on my 77"

I played about an hour or so last night. I enjoyed it but I haven't played the PC version. I didn't know a lot about it going in, read a review or 2 and watched someone play the first few minutes just to get a feel for the game.

My character lost his morale, had a nervous breakdown, and quit the force while I was playing around with the radio/glove box of my partners car.
A very abrupt ending. I guess I must have selected some options that the game didn’t like or I managed to craft a weak willed nutjob with my stat selection.

is it voice acted? i know its a dialogue heavy game, think i may struggle to get hooked if im just having to read text all the time cause im old and these UIs all have tiny little text boxes. otherwise this is right in my wheelhouse.

In my limited experience, most dialogue is voice acted. Some descriptions of character activity and dialogue setups are not, but I didn’t find that to be too much of an issue.
I’ve become much more impatient with dialogue heavy games with age, but the presentation here is fairly captivating. The inner dialogue with various aspects of your personality is an interesting twist.

I am having a lot of fun with it but it is kind of buggy on the playstation. I am sure they will have it resolved fairly quickly but the bugs are a little annoying.
Also the game does not autosave much...I was not paying much attention and lost an hour or so of play time.
Right now I am just messing around with builds and seeing what I enjoy.

Are you playing on the PS4 or 5? I've read that the 5 was buggy but haven't read that about the ps4 version. I'm playing on the PS4 and the only bug I've noticed is occasionally a character will start with voice acting and then it will stop. Not a huge deal and no crashes.

Have had it not start at the very beginning...so have to restart. No worries, not much lost.
Have the voice going out at times.
Also have to click on things more than once which is the most annoying part.

No major issues on my session on ps5.
I think you might actually have to briefly hold x rather than tapping it.

Both gamespot and IGN gave the final cut a perfect 10/10. I’m for sure going to check it out, just hope I don’t get bored with all the dialogue
