The thing that's sad is that they got boo'd at blizzcon, they got blasted during the QnA, and I guarantee you that the game will still be a cash cow because there are millions of people looking for decent mobile games. They'll misinterpret the success of the game to it "being what Diablo fans wanted" because they are blizzard and so out of touch with reality.

What I don’t understand is that diablo was supposed to be the main game they were focusing on this year and even posted a video saying they were working on multiple projects. Yet at Blizzcon they give us a mobile game while Warcraft got a freaking remaster?! People have been begging for a D2 remaster not a mobile game. It’s fine that they did a mobile game to reach other people but to give the fans nothing else is just ridiculous. Do they not understand that diablo is a pc game played by pc nerds?

It's possible that Blizzard is using the mobile game to draw a larger audience to the Diablo franchise and once they have a large user base for the mobile game it is possible to entice some of them over to the Desktop/Console versions of the game.

That's just how the mobile scene is today, especially once you get into the eastern countries. There won't be motivation to make non-mobile Diablo games after this.

And that's why real gamers are sort of sensitive to this whole shite mobile market.
Making high-quality, engaging games for real gamers has become a very long, expensive process.
If you can make just as much money, if not more, by crapping out shity little mobile games, why wouldn't you?
Hardcore gamers used to make up a much larger percentage of the market. As the video game market has grown the hardcore group as a percentage is growing smaller.

Anyone been following the aftermath?
Blizzard has been censoring the negative parts of the video and have reuploaded it to youtube 3 times now, each time removing more and more negativity.
They have also been lowering the amount of dislikes, inflating likes.

Yes, that's the clip I posted, they took down the original upload within 2 hours of the backlash yesterday and reuploaded it with that clip edited out. Obviously that didn't go over too well either.

Yeah that's a great comment and also shows you how tone-deaf a response it was.
People don't hate mobile gaming because they don't have access to phones they hate it because sucks.
