Never said I did. I think everyone was shocked at how far I was into it, but no, never beat it. Still in the uber linear section.

It'll be a challenge, but I'm enjoying sniping on Hardline.
What's your avg score per game as a sniper? I feel as if it's not as good as it could be when I play.

Thanks, sic.

Back on topic, why do people snipe? I've had a lifelong ragehate for people who snipe in shooters. It's just so damn annoying. This game was the perfect opportunity to not include snipers. But noooooo...they'd probably alienate half their market.

I'm fine with it if they don't make it easy button. If someone can get genuinely good at sniping and it actually took some skill, good on them.

There are lots of skilled video game snipers. That's not the point. The point is they hide in a bush on the outskirts of a map and spam sniper rounds and all you hear is peeesh peeesh peeesh and every so often, while I'm trying to play an objective game where I need to hunt down a moving vehicle and find a rocket launcher to destroy it, some schmuck not doing anything but hiding is annoying the shite out of me.

It just has no place in an objective game mode like that. Maybe a mode like conquest or rush...but why on earth are snipers sniping in Blood Money? There's just no point.

It's not the players that choose to snipe. It's the developers including sniping as an option that chaps my arse.

i snipe for the challenge of it, the joy of that perfect headshot one shot kill, and to aid my team against squads of douche snipers.

back in the MW2 & Black Ops days I primarily sniped, but nowadays I'm more of just a slayer. Anything or anywhere where I can rack up kills, abuse the opponent, and help my team win. I play objectives when we are getting desperate or to provide support for the majority of our group that play the objective so aggressively they couldn't care about their K/D's. (Sid, Goyo, Larry, Murdah, DMB, SIG, etc). Even with half a team of objective players, you still need slayers to hold off the mass of opposing forces. That's what I enjoy. Team MVProof absolutely shitting on the enemy team while my squad mates are tearing up the objectives. I get to slay. Our objective players get to play the objectives. And my team wins. Win Win Win.

If you think sniping is bad now.....just wait til this OP badass motherfricker becomes more popular and people start actually unlocking it. .300 Knockout (1 shot kill from 50-55M.)

it's an extremely difficult grind to get it.

Professional Syndicate Requirements:
+ Professional Assignment #1
- 10 sniper rifle kills
- 5 laser tripmine kills
+ Professional Assignment #2
- Professional Assignment #1
- 25 sniper kills
- 5 camera coins
+ Gold Service Star for Professional Class (250k reputation points for that class)
+ Purchase 13 Professional Class specific Guns/Gadgets
+ 200 sniper kills
+ Unlock the Professionals' Tier 4 Reputation Track in 10 matches
+ 15 camera coins
+ 15 Marksman coins

Keep in mind, there are DMR's on the Professional Class you can use to earn Marksmen coins, "Sniper Rifle" kills, and in general reputation points for the Professional Class.

Camera Coins = using the professional class' camera to acquire 5 assists from your cameras in one match.
Marksmen Coins = 3 headshots using professional class' specific guns in a match
Professionals' Tier 4 Reputation Track = level 4 of the reputation track in a single match using the professional class.

The camera coins are a pain in the arse, because they only have a distance of 75 meters, a 90 degree cone, and only spot for a matter of seconds. On top of which you can't kill any of those players it spots, doesn't count. AND if someone else spots the already spotted players, then they are killed, it doesn't count. Also, if someone else places down a camera in the same area, whoever's camera is the closest will get the spot. So you can't do this in lobbies with a ton a snipers. I've got 4 camera coins ATM. It's a bitch. Conquest on the A & B flags and good teammates is about the only shot you have.

The Reputation Track level 4....SMH. I've never gotten passed Reputation Track level 3 on any class in any game mode. No fricking clue how I'm going to accomplish this 15 times.

I've heard it's a 20-25 hour grind total and that's if you are a very good sniper.

This is how I expect this to go....Proofy will get within a few thousand reputation points as a Professional or within 2-3 Track 4 Reputation level games. AND THEY'LL NERF THE frick OUT OF IT VIA PATCH.

I'm not saying you personally don't play the objective. I get it if players snipe and they are honing in on the objective. But you are not the majority of snipers, man. There are always too many of those douchenozzles just sitting in plants or hiding on the back inclines of rocks or taking helicopters to the highest parts of the maps and bailing out of them. I hate those people and I really wish I could just stomp on their faces.

But it's not really their fault if the game lets them do it. I just wish a game would have zero sniping.

ohh yeah. you've always got the 2-3 snipers per conquest match in the back of the map tucked behind a rock or ledge of a mountain using the 500M range on their sniper rifles just to pick off opposing snipers like me near or at the objective. but as you mentioned earlier. most of the time unless you are standing dead still for 10 seconds. all you hear is pssst. pssst. pssst. they are just wasting their time getting 4-5 distance kills a game. just sucks when they are on your team wasting player spots that could be used by slayers or object players.

I feel the sniping in Hardline is only going to get worse. The reason i say so, without even mentioning the .300 knockout, all of the sniper rifles have much higher fire rates than BF3 and BF4. The scout elite is almost a damn DMR with the default unlocked Straight Bolt. And it's the default sniper rifle for the class, that requires no unlocking. Most snipers don't even bother purchasing the other sniper rifles, why would you? They may have more bullet damage and/or range, but are harder to control and don't have nearly the fire rates. I've also read and seen on the YouTubez that overall all the snipers have higher bullet damage and higher bullet velocity than sniper rifles in BF4. This could be to compensate for the smaller map size in general on Hardline.
