Grabbed the MIDA from collections and was able to get the sequence done on the second try. I’m now trying to gather the glimmering amethyst.

You can get rare bounties from completing daily/weekly forge bounties.
If you get one, complete it but do not turn it in until you are on the quest step for izanagi.

Sometimes. PVP for me has always been up and down. If I am playing with friends I typically have fun win or loss. Solo Q its fun when I am with a decent team.

I was trying to grind for that, and just hit a wall. Still need to do the 850 nightfall, the vex offensive undying mind, and finish up the vanguard weapon quest and the gambit one.
Those last two are just such an awful grind.

I have done every daily forge bounty since you posted this and finally got the rare last night. It isn't too bad....12 daily bounties and 1 weekly. I saw some crazy ones like 50 forge charges and stuff. So I guess I feel lucky.
This will be done in a couple of days. I think I read that the next step is kill a boss in Shattered Throne. Can this be done solo?

I had 50 forge charges. Did it in an afternoon of watching football. Charge the forges, leave when the boss spawned 
And you can solo the shattered throne, but it would probably be easier to find an lfg for someone at the boss.

Once you get it, immediately find a group to complete a heroic menagerie for the catalyst. It is so beastly with it.

Just got the Burden. Met a group that went through the Throne and Pyramidion, then finished off the boss at Bergusi. Dude says “do you have whisper”? I didn’t have it so we got that too. It was a good night. I need to upgrade my chalice before I can do the heroic menagerie.
