I gotta say Bungie fricking knocked it out of the park with this DLC. Finally feels like the 5 year beta is over and the game is close to realizing their initial vision. There’s a bunch of great little changes in there too that just make the experience so much better (shadowshot now kills on hit in crucible, upgrade modules are a great way to upgrade gear, voice acting for the character again, barebones transmog system).
Also 3v3 solo queue comp survival may be the most fun I’ve ever had in PVP for those of you who haven’t tried it yet. Great way to earn shite like Luna’s and recluse.

I agree. People are complaining about the armor elemental affinity, the cost of upgrading, and the loot pool.
Elemental affinity is random. Any piece of gear can roll any element. And upgrading cost is required for any progression-based game. But mods are no longer consumables. I would like to see a means to reroll gear in the future. But if I can farm specific gear through black armory, the menagerie, and the cryptoglyph table, that may be sufficient.
As for the world loot pool, I am okay with it for now. Hell, Bungie delivered cross play, pc migration, and a new armor system. I would like to see it expanded in time though.
The seasonal artifact is a great addition as a means to progress power past the hard cap. There are also gear and cosmetic rewards.
Solo queue comp is now a thing. There is both connection and skill based matchmaking in quick play. I would like to see more sandbox tuning, but hell, the animation changes to 140 and 150 rpm hand cannons have made crucible more tolerable to me.
They even clarified what activities provide what tier loot to push past the soft cap. So now I know exactly what activities should provide what boost towards increasing my power level.
Not to mention, with Shadowkeep, we got a (short) story, nightmare hunts, and a raid. And Season of the Undying free.

Yeah I'm just in the Reddit clan but none of these people are my friends on Steam so I can't see what they're doing and don't have any organization to do raids and stuff.

Totally agreed. All those systems could obviously use a little bit more tweaking but really happy with where the games at now and how much more fine tuned the experience is. I think artifact mods need a little bit more work especially but the idea behind it is solid.

There’s almost too much stuff to do

I disagree. There are a lot of ways to hit soft cap. From there forward, there are fewer things to do, but they have varying degrees of challenge.

Agree'd. The elemental stuff is a bit of a pain, but I'll wait and see how it plays out throughout the season.

Tried it some last night, and honestly I didn't see much of a difference. Each game was either 4-0 or 0-4. I may just be cursed with forever matchmaking bad teammates, and not being that great at 3v3 either. It is a good addition though.

Also add the Vex Offensive. That is another really fun mode, and good way to grind gear/weapons.
My group has really enjoyed the raid so far. We were able to get to the first phase of the final boss encounter. It is definitely a raid that it will be more difficult than previous ones to carry a weaker link. Lots of teamwork and coordination needed which I like.

I don't think so.
There is a ton to do, yes, but they've done a good job of laying out a priority system for what to do.
There is plenty to do, but if it doesn't give you prime gear, it should be a secondary task unless you just enjoy doing it/want to do it. Each week, finish up all the powerful gear tasks, then do whatever you want to do.

Exactly. Hit the soft cap. Focus on powerfuls. Once you hit 950, only thing to do is pinnacle powerfuls. And farm rolls.

I'm just finishing up campaigns. Did Osiris and Warmind, and about halfway through Forsaken. Then I need to do Shadowkeep.

Anyone play on PC? I play almost exclusively on PC now, especially since Shadowkeep dropped.

The majority of us in here are.
Check the OP for steam ID's. I am primarily on between 8-11pm
Looking at getting a fireteam together to do the raid; need to fill 3-4 spots. Wednesday @ 6:00pm.

That time is flexible. Wednesday is the only night I have nothing going on.

Have any of y'all attempted it at all yet, or have you watched any of the encounters if you haven't tried it?
