Bungie said that they would have had to dumb down their game to get it to 60fps on consoles.
Serious question.
What does this mean? Dumb down in terms of calculations on client or server? Dumb down in terms of graphical enhancements(which not many are added from the OG console versions).

Why do you keep spelling the word boy incorrectly?

Look at ESO if you want to see a large scale MMO that caters to both the casual and the extremely dedicated player almost flawlessly with a disturbingly large amount of entertaining content. The level of love and man power that went into crafting that game far outshines anything Destiny has done
Did someone just mention ESO as a template for a well done MMO?
Even with a large following of Elder Scrolls fans, ESO has done about as well as Aion, Rift, or Wildstar (which is to say not very).

ESO was garbage at first, but is a fine game now. its played across three platforms. its easily top 4 with WoW, GW2, and FF.
unofficial numbers speculate it has had 10 million sales and as of june 2017, 2.5 million active monthly players.
there is a lot of stuff for casuals and hardcore players to do, which was his point.
Large scale 60v60v60 siege pvp, battleground pvp, small group pvp, 12 man raids, 4 man veteran dungeons, it has something for everyone

Rift and Aion are moderately successful. Wildstar not so much. Wildstar could have been more successful if not for the endgame being so hard to get into. I actually like the graphics, combat, and classes a lot

Yeah I'm running this on my ultrawide and it's just so damn good maxed out at 75fps freesync. Have this pre ordered for PS4 because that's where the old gang is, but the PC beta is really making me want to play it there.

Played D1 day1 on PS4 and did the first raid with work buddies, got my first exotic (universal remote when shotguns were shite)
Got an Xbone specifically to play with more buds and regrinded to 20 (It was a great time, but by the taken king none of them played..big mistake in hindsight bc PS4 blows the fricking doors off of Xbone)
And I have decided to run D2 on PC..With all that said..What kind of rig will i need to run it at 60fps at 1080p ? GPU / CPU without bumping into any limitations
i'll hang up and listen

without knowing specifics of D2, id guess at minimum :
AMD Ryzen 5 1600
GeForce 1070
If you could spring for a GeForce 1080 / Intel i5 or i7 though, id imagine that would be preferred.
pcpartpicker.com to browse and get an idea for pricing

I'm using an i5 6600k and a R9 Fury, hitting 75fps on my freesync with mostly Highest settings. That's at 2560x1080.

Looking forward to Destiny 2. Any old Xbone players on here from D1 planning on playing again?

Andddddd everything I've seen so far has justified this thread, especially the fact there's ONE raid for a game 2 years in development. Enjoy bullet sponge bosses and paying for armor shaders bitchezz

You clearly have no clue how Destiny works lol

Everything I said is true. And I sank a decent bit of time into the first one and from what I've gathered this isn't drastically different so I do have some clue.
ETA: except now they are charging for armor shaders lol

It's a hella fun time that you're missing out on because you have carsonitis. It's definitely a sequel, but still it's own game.
