I took a bit of a hiatus from the game and have recently been playing again. If someone would be so kind, could someone answer some questions for me?
There are a few things that I haven’t unlocked/played yet. Gambit Prime, Reckoning, Menagaire. Are these worth unlocking/opening? Max light is currently 750, my main character is 717. What gives the most powerful gear upon completion? Shadow keep will be an extra purchase. Will this be a new storyline, similar to what Foresaken was? Will light and or level increase?

Shadowkeep is a new expansion with story. Power lever will increase, they are getting away from your actual "level". i.e. Level. 50.
Quickest way to increase your power level is completing your daily/weekly milestones and bounties for powerful gear

At shadowkeep launch, they're bringing all of your gear to 750. So no need to rush to it or waste mats on infusion.

I was hoping to make at least 725 this reset (currently 722). I don’t have a ton of time to play right now so I don’t get many of the weeklys done.

There will be huge armor changes with Shadowkeep. Dont focus too much on that. I would use this time to knock out quest steps that have been lingering.

All gear will be boosted to 750 on shadowkeep along with multiple weapon quests being made easier.

The gear upgrade....will this be similar to what they provided for forsaken to get to level 30? And we only get one? Will the 750 update apply to stuff in vault?

Thanks for all the input. What are some things i must have done before Shadowkeep? I think I have most of it done with one character. I know I haven’t opened the forges with my warlock. I played titan mostly at launch and hunter since forsaken. I may roll warlock for shadowkeep.

Nothing in particular. knock out some exotic quest steps to get some nice weapons like outbreak perfected and thunderlord.
