Thanks. The only thing I was really worried about was getting more estus flasks so I could grind more efficiently.

I ended up wasting probably 8-10 humanity learning how to do it right. Thankfully I came to the board and you guys helped me with it. I have 0 humanity now, but it's worth it.

I just use humanity to kindle bonfires. Also, make sure you turn in the fire keeper souls to make your flasks stronger.

I kept trying to figure out what to do next, then it dawned on me to go back and try to get in a iron door that I could see through, but never go in. This door is where I usually grind.

So, I went there and I still couldn't get down steps that I could definitely see.

I decided to finally go online and look at a walkthrough to see where I'm supposed to go next. They said to get back at the start of the Red Dragon bridge. Ok.

WOW...there's a whole other area down there! AND it links to my door! I always have a sense in RPGs of where to go next and I was onto the right scent, just the wrong way to get there.

So, I got to these cool hooded thieve guys. They are legit.

Then I got to the boss that was dual-weilding right when you walk through the door! WTF. Haha. I beat him in 3 tries. It was all about placement with him.

Then I went to a place that had lots of rats and a chef. I killed them all...then decided to look around that and all of a sudden, I fell into a sewer with a huge RAT boss!

I beat him in one plunging blow, but then had to work my way out of the sewer. In doing so I think I explored every room. I got all the corpses. I got to the merchant that sells crystal weapons. I still couldn't get out and was racking up souls quick. I kept trying to get higher and higher in the sewer. And found a camfire! Finally! Could save my souls!

Then I eventually found where I was initially. Whew.

On my discoveries I went to this underground area that was huge...and built for a boss, obviously.

I went another way when descending from the campfire and found the same huge room, but with a wizard and rats. I beat them up before proceeding. This was scary because it was a cloud door I had to go through.

So, I eventually find my way back to the huge indoor place that I first found and VOILA the Gaping Dragon. Holy shite. He is big!

I did well against him! Got him a 1/3 the way down.

Then died and spawned at the campfire in the sewer.

I will try navigating back down to the dragon later.

I might have to write directions because it gets confusing. I know to get to him I need to get to the merchant down there first!

On a side note: The sewer is really fun to grind. Great way to get a lot of souls fast.

Are those like-likes that are in the sewer?

Last night before I went to bed I beat the Gaping Dragon after about 7 tries. I realized if I ran perpendicularly away from his mouth, then it's much harder for him to turn and get me. My armor didn't let him crunch down on me if he caught me though.

To do what I wanted I had to figure out how to boost my speed. So, sometimes I'd go in there practically naked to be able to run around and around.

I ended up finding his weakspot about fight 5, and 2 fights from then on I forced him to attack me and then I hit his nose.

This morning I beat that moth boss in the basin.

AND I beat the hydra. That was fun. I beat both in about 3 tries. I could have beat the Moth boss on try 1, but the sound my sword was making made it seem like I was hitting the stone railing, so I stopped attacking and couldn't handle another one of her volleys.

I got to the tower at the foot of the basin, and beat the fatass knight there. I got a ring that makes me carry way more, but really the important thing is I am much quicker on my feet! This is good because I am decked out in knight gear.

I tried to go deeper into the forest, but was picked off by a ghost knight and a wizard a couple of times. I went another way into the forest and was charged by 3 Schwarzenneger black panthers. I killed one, but the other 2 did me in.

So, then I decided to go online and it said to get to Firelink shrine and see the after Moth boss. I went there and remembered that opening in the elevator right when it takes off...so I rolled through and climbed the turret to the nest...and curled up!

I made it back to the beginning of the game and defeated the big knights...

But ye ole' floor collapse did me in yet again.

So I started some runs at the stray demon boss. I just kept going in and dying. Trying to find some way to stay alive.

I found that behind it is safe...and I can run/roll under it's belly when it's about to swing...but when I am behind it I still get hit by some attacks.

This one will take a while, I feel. I could just go and grind and get better weapons and armor.

I have a +6 Halberd and +6 longsword now!
