Anybody pick it up?? Downloaded it on ps4 pro and it plays great! In blightown now and have had rock solid 60fps. One of my favorite game series that I just recently started playing about a month ago. Didn't want to beat ds1 on my xbox, so held off until remaster released. Beat bloodborne and DS3 in the meantime. These games are addicting as hell.

I grabbed it off Steam. will dive in this weekend.

played through originally on xbox 360 so im looking forward to the graphics.

ds1 has a bunch of secret/hidden shite. if you aren't using a walkthrough for your first run, use one on the 2nd/New Game+ IMO

blighttown is such a bitch

I wanted to get it but vI don't have much time to play games anymore. I still haven't finished God of War.

mine should be here around lunch (PS4)

honestly considering getting it for xbox too so i can play all my frands

ETA for anyone that hasn't played it, do not use a guide or look up anything about it for your first run. beat it, then use a guide and laugh at how much hidden stuff there is. the sense of exploration for your first run is what makes it so special, so dont have a guide or flowchart ruin that for you. hell, id even say that you shouldn't have any coop help. I make it a point to beat all Souls bosses alone before getting/giving help to/from others on subsequent runs. yall will probably need help with Ornstein & Smough though

I've always wanted to play games that are challenging but not punishing. I don't mind dying here and there and I usually play games on hard but not punishing difficulty.

These games seem punishing. I have a stressful enough job, I don't need to sweat out fighting the same boss 867 times before I win.

Am I way off here or ...?

they can be pretty punishing to be honest. if you die you lose all your unspent souls, which is like currency.

you can recover half the souls if you make it back to where you died, but if you die again you lose them all.

with that said, its not too bad. People are able to beat the game as a level 1, all the bosses have clearly defined openings and weaknesses. nothing is really too unfair aside from one particular boss in the latter part of the game (bed of chaos)

I kind of got into Bloodborne lately, and I had the thought of maybe giving Dark Souls a try again, but the one thing that has me sold on Bloodborne is how it plays. Love the faster more deliberate movement. I always hated committing to something in Souls and realizing right when it happened that it was a mistake and there was nothing I could do about it.

Dark Souls 3 is faster than the other two. I'd argue that the souls games are much easier after playing bloodborne since you're not so reliant on shield usage. Being able to dodge roll effectively is half the battle with these games, as its easy to sword and board through, but sometimes that's way harder than being aggressive and dealing damage instead of shelling up.
