That's the definition of "that bad" though.
We played it because it's a DS game but none of us ever really want to endure it again. That fricking health meter mechanic being reduced every time you die can just frick right off.

Are yall fans of other “Souls type” games? I really enjoyed Wo Long Dynasty, Lords of Fallen and Lies of P over the last few months

Nothing compares IMO.
I'm playing a slightly modded Sekiro game now. Might actually be my favorite of their games. Once you git gud, it is so rewarding and entertaining.

I really enjoyed Lies of P but haven't tried the other 2 yet. I tried Nioh but didn't get more than an hour or so into it and put it back down for whatever reason.

There's a lot of games that I've played, consider worth playing, but would never play again. It's an indictment of a Dark Souls game, but that's not really an indictment of a game, more generally

Man, Nioh/Nioh 2 are AMAZING, but you can't play them like Souls games and they don't really start until like NG3
Up until then, it's not really worth even putting together a proper build. As much as I loved the Nioh games, I wasn't really a fan of Wo Long. It was great for one NG run, but unlike the Nioh games, I had no desire to get through multiple NGs and it doesn't have an end game like the Nioh games. I think I finished maybe one of the three DLCs for Wo Long.

I don’t doubt it, I just wasn’t in the mood for that type of game when I started it. I’ll likely get to it at some point

Your vitality is too low for ng+. You need a +15 weapon.
