IN. I think my body is ready. I bought it last summer, and said "frick you Dark Souls" pretty quick.

I'm ready for the rage now.

Usually you can tell b/c the name doesn't look like a gamertag

Just wait till you get to Kiln of the First Fire and some a-hole invades as you try to finish the game

I got my parrying timed with the thief now. shite just got real.

I remember thinking at the time it didn't look like a gamertag name. So Kirk makes sense. I don't have anything in my inventory though. Maybe I just didn't pick it up?

Somebody did that to me in the middle of fighting the Hellkite. I was furious.

I haven't. Worked at it for the majority of the night and had no success. Did end up with like 20k souls though, so that was a positive. I think I'm going to make one run through Undead Berg every time I get on until I get the parrying down.

It's a combination of knowing the weight/swing of your shield and figuring out the timing of your enemy. Knights are the easiest for me to parry believe it or not. I got my practice in at Anor Londo b/c I got sick of getting killed and then doing the whole song and dance with the knights every time. I wanted to one shot them so I could cruise thru faster, so I worked on parry and finally got the hang of it.

I found out last night that it's not as much fun with a shitty thief dagger as it is with a black knight sword +4 Take me 3-4 times to kill a knight

you have to kill him 3 times (he spawns 2 more times at different locations) to get his shite

Well that's what I was telling you. I'm a spoiled little brat being a baby lvl 40 with a Black Knight Sword +3. I just hacked right through everything I came across, guard up or not. But I'm starting to run into more black knights so I really need to get this shite down. And so far its about as frustrating as that douchebag goat in the lower Berg. This is going to take a ton of practice.

Oh ok, well hopefully that was him. I ran through the entirety of the Depths so I can't imagine I missed him.

when you kill an NPC invader, they will leave behind a drop. It will sometimes be humanity, other times it will be an item.

sometimes, you have to find the corpse of the invader after you kill them. it will be in a static location.

Ex: Kirk will be in the same chamber as the daughter of chaos. Beatrice will be on a ridge in the valley of the drakes.

in my experience, getting out of your comfort zone can make things interesting and fun again. My mage is a little too OP so at some point I will make a character where the odds are stacked against me.

Thanks for the locations. I'll make sure I don't miss them next time around.

their corpse will not appear until the final encounter.

ie, you have to kill Kirk all three times for his "real" body to appear in your world.

their dead body and the appearance of the last invasion are not always one and the same.

Gotcha. Well either way I plan on doing NG so I'll catch him the 2nd time around.

I missed him my first time or two around the block.

Now I kill him every time and I still can't say I've ever used his armor. Just some more inventory to lug around.

Once I became more confident in my abilities, I started running human 100% of the time. You find a few interesting encounters that way. NPCs and otherwise.

In DS you actually might have needed something stronger.
