If you don't have PS+, now would probably be a great time to get it. You would get the free game for the PS4, plus there are $70+ worth in free games right now on PSN:

Yes. I downloaded Gravity Rush, Wipeout, and Soul Caliber for Vita. And Uncharted, XCOM, and Infamous 2 for PS3.
The only catch is if you ever drop playstation plus you will no longer be able to play the games you downloaded. That is not a problem for me since I don't ever plan of dropping it.

Preordered BF4 and FIFA 14 yesterday as well. Gonna need to see more from Watch Dogs to decide on whether it will be a release day get.

Pre-ordered my PS4 and BF4 last night. Is Dec 31 the official release or is that just a placeholder for Amazon? BF4 says Oct. I'd hate to have a PS4 game in Oct that I can't play until Jan.

The launch is currently unavailable. The standard says they can't guarantee release day, but will get as close as possible. If it launches and Amazon doesn't get it to me before I can get my hands on one locally, i'll just cancel it.

Not correct, I have a launch version it still has the BS date. It is just a placeholder. The system does not have a release date yet. It will be before Christmas for sure as they would not miss the Holiday shoppers. That is huge.
As for the standard version, you still may get it day 1, they just can not guarantee as of now. They do not know how much more stock they will get.
