Thought that my PS4 copy was a sunk cost, but Amazon is letting me return it. 
I'm about 9 hours into the PC version and haven't had a single crash. Few glitches. Even with my laptop's mediocre performance, it looks WAY better than the PS4 version and the framerates are respectable.

I just got to the middle of act 2 on ps4, no issues, but now the HUD has me stuck in between the phone/messages UI and normal UI
Game is broke, Im trying to push thru even by loading earlier saves but I think I'm going to have to start the entire game over

Yes I routinely get weird HUD issues. Sometimes a subtitle randomly gets stuck on the screen, even though I have subtitles off. The only way to get rid of it is to turn subtitles on and then off again. I've had the phonecall UI get stuck on once as well.
Just lots of little stuff like that all over the place, lack of polish and testing obvious.
They also didn't do a great job with their menus in terms of usability. Like when a weapon is in your stash you can't see the requirements, only when it's in your inventory. So if you deposit a good weapon you don't meant the requirements for, outside of just remembering what they were you gotta remove it from your stash to check periodically.
They were probably overtasked with getting the big stuff done that they couldn't devote any time to smaller annoyances.

If you’re playing on PS4, you can leave HDR on, but, toggle off all the settings under the graphic settings. I’ve been slugging through with them all on just because but I just tried without them and it’s smoothed things out drastically.

I’ve played about 4 hours on PS5 and think I’m going to stop and wait for the update. The world just seems kinda dead. My car was floating. It just doesn’t seem finished.

So it sounds like another hotfix patch is coming in the next week and two large patches are scheduled for January and February.
Of course they probably shoulda just done all this on their own and released the game in February is looks like but I guess they were just desperate to get it out before Christmas.
For those waiting out the storm, seems like maybe by sometime in February things will be a lot smoother.

I have no doubt CDPR will get it right. Just gotta have patience. Seems they put out a playable game knowing they would be able to improve it over time like they did with witcher

It really feels like this game should've released on PC under the "Early Access" banner then released on console like 6 months after official PC launch

I mean it’s not unplayable. I’ve still been enjoying playing it on PS4.
Frankly I’d rather be able to play it now while they fix it instead of sometime in the Spring.

Same. I had one crash in about 6 hours of play time. There have been some little annoyances here and there but I'm enjoying it. They just need to clean up a few things.

I'm about 7 hours in and haven't had a crash yet. I've seen a few minor graphical things go wrong but I haven't seen anything that turns me off the game.

I have the digital copy and “attempted” many times to play it. I got my ps4 the 2nd year it was out.
It crashes after 30 min of playing. And repeats and repeats. It’s completely unplayable for my system.
I called PSN to get a refund and they told me nope because I already earned a trophy. And after fussing at them for 30 min, they still won’t give me a refund. And they say that a patch will be out in January, so I’ll be able to play it.
I told them no. This is bullshite. I purchased this game to play RIGHT NOW, and you sold me an incomplete, unplayable game. And this is not what I paid for.....And they still told me no.
Well. I paid for the game via PayPal, so I’m in the process of filing a clam through them using the buyers protection thing. I uploaded snapshots of all the crash screens and error codes. So I’m waiting on that claim to work it’s way.
