Same. The last thing I read up on it was about the career path introductions that I posted on here back then.

It's the same thing with movies or shows. If I know I'm going to buy the game or watch the movie/show, I want to go into it as blind as possible

You know the next-gen version of the game isn't coming until 2021 right? So not necessarily breaking in next-gen

So there is a definite ps5 version coming and not just a PS4 upgrade patch?

That was from back in June and they haven't really expounded on it. It's a free "upgrade" but I don't know if that means they are just releasing a PS4 patch or if they are doing like what the sports games are doing in releasing a PS4 version, but you can "upgrade" to the PS5 version for free when it comes out

I don't know how you'd be able to take "full advantage of the next-gen software" with a patch to the current gen

PC specs don't look too terrible, surprisingly.

I've read those specs are targeting 30 FPS.. that's why they don't look too bad. Not even sure I can manage 60+ FPS on high+ settings @ 1440p with my specs below.. (if I can achieve that target with ray tracing off I'll be glad to turn it off).

i5-9600K
RTX 2070
16GB DDR4 3000Mhz

To be fair, you don't need nearly as high FPS for this game I imagine. Not unless they eventually come out with an online, multiplayer mode.

Ideally I want as close to 144 as possible since that's what my monitor can output.. actually it can go up to 165. I just assume I can't get that at the settings I'm going to want to play at.

Maybe I'm getting old, but as long as it runs 30 fps, I'm good. 60 would be nice, but 30 is all I've ever known most of my life.

30 FPS has never been ideal for PC gamers generally.. always been a console thing. At the end of the day though, 30 FPS vs 60 FPS is a pretty big fricking deal. For a game like this, I don't really need 144 FPS but I play a lot of first-person shooters and the jump from 60 to 144 was quite noticeable when I upgraded my monitor last December.

Like I said I think if I can play at 2K 60+ FPS on high settings that will be great for this game.. even better if I can manage to get that keeping ray tracing on.
