Fantastic game. Been crushing the GOT mod for over a year now.

so does this game have a ton of expansions you have to purchase as well to make it fun?

You don't NEED to purchase them to enjoy it, but they make the experience a lot better. They are genuine expansions with depth (except Sunset Invasion). If you wait for a Steam sale, they can be had for less than $10 a piece.

I have two expansions so far and it's more than enough to keep me satisfied. I can't play as Muslim nations yet though so my next purchase will probably be Sword of Islam. The base game is fun but I would recommend getting an expansion or two.

I am very intrigued by this game. I love the Civ series. Might have to give this a shot.

Purchased this game over a year ago and have just recently gotten around to playing it. Quick question for anyone:
I am currently trying to run through a beginner tutorial that has the player starting off in Ireland. Whenever I click on the ambitions tab to select my current goal, nothing happens other than my main character screen popping up. I cant figure out why the list containing the goals for me to choose from isn't popping up. Suggestions?
Anytime I try googling it, it brings up the issue of the ambitions tab being moved to a new location after updates (apparently people were having trouble finding it). I cant find anything on my problem of current goals not popping up when I click the ambitions tab.
edit: I am pretty sure it is something that I am not doing correctly.

Can you provide a screenshot?

It's a very fun game once you get the hang of things. There is a pretty steep learning curve though but it's worth it.

I still learn shite even after 1000+ hours.
It was only a few weeks ago that I learned to consolidate armies. Right click+expand over multiple stacks, a button with two arrows pointing towards one another allows you to combine armies. I felt so retarded for never having figured that out.

Some steam forum threads are showing that they are indeed legit and haven't had problems. Go through Pay Pal

I have bought a bunch of bundles from Bundle Stars with Steam keys and never had an issue.

Basically an event where Aztecs invade either Iberia, Francia, or Brittania in the 1100s-1300s with a bunch of doomstacks.
I had fricking Aztecs and Mongols on my arse at the same time.
