So you know you will need good ventilation, my video card will STOP my system if it is not well ventilated. I've had to move one of my lesser computers out of it's spot due to the 56 ti and I have 3 fans not attached to components running.

We're in the same boat about the MOBOs. I'm trying to read all up on them right now.

Based on our specs any MOBO you suggest?

I'm just trying to understand them more before I get one.

I don't think I'll be able to hardwire my PC at my new house. Are there built in wifi ports I can put in?

I am as dumb at this as you. I have studied and looked at what others here built before I could make my mind up on anything. Not trying to put you off but I know others know WAY more about that than me. I know the basics but MBs confuse me too.

Here is what I went with but again I am using an AMD CPU

LINK

I didn't break the bank on it but it had what I needed and some other decent features

HMM I am guessing an intel processor won't fit in the MOBO, like I said I am new to the build process.

No. Thats an AMD AM3+ socket. I think i5 takes an LGA 1155 socket

Oh...one thing I asked on here and am very thankful I followed through with is to put an aftermarket CPU cooler on. When I un-boxed it and compared it to the one that came with my CPU it was obvious it was worth the little extra money.

I went with a cooler master with dual fans.

Just search for one for your i5 and read the reviews on it. Some aren't much better than factory

Better than me trying to explain it

Your i5 will only fit in an LGA 1155 socket. You also need a fan that supports this socket set up if go with a non factory fan.

Looks pretty legit and it's crossfire ready if you ever go that route.

ETA that was i5 compatible. Even said it in the description

I am downloading DayZ now actually. BF3 runs no problem at max settings.
