i linked you a board in your thread.
i dont really like intel boards that much, would choose an Asus or Gigabyte if you have the option. Im currently using an ASRock board that I havent had any trouble with.

Pass, the Steam sale is coming up and as someone said I must be poor. I am running games at full speed right now and these upgrades along with my pending SSD purchase will set me for a a while.

Thank you for your link! I think I have a build that will suite me for a while.

I updated the first post with my new list.
Stout, I really wanted to get your deal, but that's pushing me past $1000 and I definitely can't go over that (keep in mind I still have to get a monitor).
-I did some more research, and I upped my RAM to 8gb with 1600 rather 1333.
-I kept the same motherboard I had before. Just found a 6gbs HD
-Used the case like the one SG showed me, but I used the three hundred illusion instead

The 550Ti will still run any game on med to high.
You can always upgrade much later if needed.

Besides the monitor, keyboard and mouse, what else will I need?
Any recommended keyboard/mouse (besides the one headchange suggested
)? I saw a Logitech wireless keyboard mouse combo for like $20-$30, but I wasn't sure if I needed anything specific

That mouse is so weird and robotic to me.
I'm good with my Lachesis...though that one mouse with a fan is genius because my hand does sweat in good games

Biggest thing I see you're missing like I said earlier is a better than factory CPU Fan and Heatsink
If you just want a decent but very cheap gaming mouse for now

I have a standard Logitech keyboard for now. No gaming keyboard or anything special. That will change soon though.
Not sure I would do wireless though.

I use logitech G-series keyboards but I do a lot of boxing in MMO's if you don't then I think most will suggest a mechanical keyboard.

Need to up your power supply to at least 700, imo.

Get a Radeon 6870 over the 550 ti...a huge increase in performance for very little $$$. You should get the ivy bridge i5 CPU and pair it with ASRock Z77 Extreme4-M.
