Curious how many here have been playing these games over the years and what you think about the current future with TW40k and Medieval 3 looming on the horizon.

I have always liked the historical iterations but warmed up to the Warhammer titles until TWW3 which fell pretty flat with the integration into the previous titles for the Immortal Empires grand campaign involving all three.

The need to purchase all three titles plus DLC to have access to all factions was an interesting way to package RMT for consumer consumption in a different way.

Total War Medieval has always been frustrating, but I’ve repeatedly bought it. I don’t think I’ll by TW3 because of the faction based DLCs.

Why pay more to have the French and Spanish declare war on you every 5 years if you don’t cede one of your top 3 holdings then proceed to siege it with 3 peasant regiments and a ballista. Its just annoying

I’d buy TW Empire 2 in heartbeat though, DLCs, factions and all.

Played the first one, thought it was awesome, played rome, awesome. Took a few years off and came back to one of them.

WTF have they done. So many useless menu's and mechanics. Haven't came back since.

I played a ton of the OG Rome: Total War and its sequel. I played some of the others (notably, Medieval and Shogun/Shogun II).

I never played any of the Warhammer/40K titles.

I'm with you. With "Darthmod" it may be one of the best in series.

Hoping ME3 will be Rome 2+Atilla systems without the bloat and better optimization.

No need to reinventive the wheel and please stop importing the RPG driven progression from Three kingdoms and Troy.

Still trying to like Pharoah: Dynasties.

Lack of effective mobility and flanking make it a slog similar to Thrones of Britannia.

Interesting - what does Darthmod entail?

I usually turtle up with the Dutch in a Caribbean and run a strong navy. It’s a shame you can’t play as pirate faction

Makes Empire what is should have been at launch, at least a patch or two into cycle.
