I hope you are trolling.

If not you do not know what good performance, low temps and nearly unaudible noise lvls are.

It's all relative. Run it stock and play games that only use one core or don't rely on the CPU much, then the stock cooler won't really matter to you -- especially if you don't have experience with much aftermarket cooling. When I built my first PC as a noob in high school, I used an Athlon XP 2000+ with the STOCK cooler. I'm not sure if they ever made em louder than that, but what did I know? I had yet to venture into aftermarket cooling, let alone overclocking.

There are even more people who roll their eyes at those of us who can't fathom not having an SSD. They've never used one.

Lol

When I built my first PC the only thing I wanted was an aftermarket cooler. Thought it was sooooo cool.

Oh and a GT 6800!!!!

I will think about it but I really have all the HDD (2.5 TB total not counting my SSD) space I need though that 10K RPM would be nice if I buy anymore space I am getting a 500GB SSD.

BTW, got the new MOBO and 8350 in. Waiting on some thermal paste to get here because I lost the tube I had. I am rolling factory fan right now but once I can add my after market cooler I am going to see what I can get out of this CPU. So far though on stock fan and stock settings it's pretty sweet.

Yeah that 8530 might not be a noticeable upgrade until you OC it but I know from the 4100 to the 8530 for me it has made file transfers hella quicker. The 4100 would "hang" at times also, thought it were the HDDs in the server but after switching I think the 4100 just got bonged down even @ 4.3 OC.

ETA:

The MOBO you picked out stout looks awesome. I'm a huge asrock fan but have never used a AM3+ socket from them. Looks like tons of room to grow.

So u can add 3 cards and a Steamroller in 2014.

I didn't know you had already grabbed one.

I never OC'd my 6200 so any upgrade when I do OC will be noticeable.

I do love it. I may or may not have dry humped it when it got here.

Nice.

Only thing I have left to do is sell this 7950 and get a 670 FTW or 680. I am rolling this 570 I grabbed in the mean time. It's not too bad and at least I am back to Nvidia.

If reports come true about Titan dropping end February / early March; I will be selling this 690 for 800 if interested.

I would love to but that's about double what I want to spend. I am wanting to build a steam box/HTPC for my living room next with this 570.

I was rockin' XP all the way until the end of 2009. Went straight to Win 7. My general pattern is to skip a main Windows iteration. Went from 3.1 to 98 to XP to 7.

98-2000-XP after a year or so when it was fixed-7

I will be staying on 7 for quite a while me thinks.

I have Vista on my laptop and have never had any problems with it. Guess I'm lucky.

I'm thinking the same. I don't think win 8 is as bad as it sounds but I have no reason to upgrade to it.
