I dunno why people that want a college football game are so sensitive about it

Every year, we get some upstart indy game company making headlines about a crowd-sourced CFB game and just as quickly as they come, they disappear.

Not holding my breath. Wake me when EA or another game company comes to its senses.

I don't think they are going anywhere since they have 10 million dollars from an investing company.

Plus EA isn't touching a college game with a 10 ft pole.

And I don't know why you need attention so badly that you need to come and douche up a thread under the guise of 'not caring'.

Some things we'll never know.

So this is just a basic nuts and bolts game then they rely on the community to generate all the rosters or?

Pretty much.

The community was doing this on the EA NCAA series already anyway.

So long as they can land the licensing for the logos, stadiums, uniforms, etc.. I'm down.

Just let the community edit the rosters accordingly and you shouldn't run into the issue of player likeness.

I'm afraid they wan to give you so much gingerbread and gimmicks, that the actual game play will suck. guys biting on every out route.

And because of that, you get glitches like this:

Except it’s not even going to have EA’s NCAA graphics. You guys act like it’s something that’s built to succeed NCAA 14’s spot. This is starting from scratch and will likely fail. Initial numbers might look decent but it’ll fall after a month when people would rather go back to NCAA 14

I hope I’m wrong.

Like i said before, go look at the PS4 lacrosse games that Big Ant Studios have made. They’ve been successful and the games look pretty dang good

Apparently LSU alum Vadal Alexander is in as in investor. Not sure how involved he is but he was mentioned in their press release. And I’ll be buying this at release, I’ve been holding out hope that they would release NCAAF14 as backwards compatible on the Xbox store but I’m giving up.

“After working for over two years towards the building the innovative and unique concepts of Gridiron Champions, IMV Gaming joins hands with professional athletes Oakland Raiders’ Vadal Alexander along with Brooklyn Nets’ Spencer Dinwiddie as early founding investors. Their excitement about the College Football gaming experience is growing like many since the longtime void in the marketplace hasn’t been filled.”

Or pay a $10 annual fee to update the rosters but play the same game.

The gameplay would have to be incredible for that to be a viable business model outside of the first 2 years or so, IMO. Gamers are fickle people.

I personally don't think that graphics will make it break a game. You act like EA made an amazing game that won't be able to be topped when in reality everyone bitched and moaned all the time about EA. They hardly made any improvements to the game every year. Plus people want a college game for the new generation of consoles and that alone will give it a good boost.

Everything has been looking good for this title from fan support to now support from an investing group to details as to what the game will have (it being pretty much fully customizable).

If all you can bitch about are the graphics when all you've seen is concept art then I feel pretty good about it

Make the game free then. And you only buy updates.

Hell, the model has worked well for Fortnite. Free to play, pay to download rosters, updates, etc. I can't act like I wouldn't pump money into that.

How would this work? Now isn't the company on the hook for the NCAA again?

I wouldn't think so if it was just paying to access community-created rosters. But an attorney I am not.
