Sod is so fun. I'm on lone wolf horde.

Druid getting mana free wrath as 1st rune is such a game changer..then getting sunfire added to moonfire..so so fun

Liking SOD a lot playing prot warrior. Even though Druid and Pally tanks are improved, warrior is still the gold standard and now we get thunder clap with increased threat in any stance. takes away the stance dance.

Hunter was stupid OP so im glad they were proactive and made those corrections.

Is SoD not making classes feel too strong to still feel like classic? I haven't pulled the trigger on it yet, but I was initially disinterested because it seemed like it was going to render most of the content ridiculously easy.

Personally, Id say that it mostly helps with the early game Auto Attack fast that many classes suffer from in the beginning. I think they essentially looked at a lot of the sub-classes that were sub-optimal in the vanilla meta and decided to make them viable.

So now you aren't laughed at it you don't play the specific op stuff like War/Mage/Rogue

With the Changes, Boomie will be viable / Priest Shadow will be viable, etc..I don't think it makes it easier.

Not to me. The mobs are juiced. Nothing easy about it so far for me. Hunter and mage were stupid OP but they hotfoxed it.

Surprisingly yes. Keeps your brain more engaged doing all the leveling knowing one frickup means you lose everything (you can transfer to a regular classic server for free after death if you want to hang on to the character). Plus the added challenge has even further galvanized the community.

Sounds a bit like EQ back in the early days. There wasn't perma-death but death penalties could be so tough (especially if you were deep in a tough zone) that it could feel close to it.

Made my rogue on defias. Im amazed at how much people suck at this game. Jouned a big guild and people just die... and die...

I'm never going into a dungeon with this player base.

Get a different guild. Players moving over from Retail have difficulty adjust to the classic play. If it’s because they are new you can try to teach them but at the end of the day they have be be open to learning what role they play in a dungeon.

According to the deathlog addon, the average death level for every class is somewhere between 12-15.

The #1 killer is fall damage.

I'm playing on season of discovery and fricked around and had my first death at lvl 19 yesterday.

I drowned...

#5 killer in HC last I checked

It was #2 behind falling for a long time.

I went afk in what I thought was a safe spot in the Wetlands on my 27 Druid to stir some food on the stove and came back to a dead character. Apparently there was a singular roaming raptor like 5 levels lower than me in the area. Goes without saying I'm taking a break from HC for a while. Still pisses me off knowing it could have just been avoided by stealthing before I got up.

On the bright side, it got me to finally start trying SoD.

Im amazed that they never added an auto return attack setting. I guess to keep people from afk farming but dang.

Ive been dc from server 3 times randomly over the past 36 hr. Im sure that will lead to my demise.

You can challenge anyone to a duel to the death. Loser has to re roll. Winner gets their ear.

It's called a Mak'gora

There also creative ways to "gank" people.

I've seen clips of higher level rogues agro a bunch of mobs and then vanish next to someone .

I'd be so mad
