Ubisoft are such fricking cocksuckers. They deserve it all. Cant wait for the public embarrassment of being forced out of the stock exchange as a pump and dump scheme

I see this and it gives a good idea why you think EX33 is over hyped.
Outside of Dark Souls/From games and RE4…none of those I’d ever consider being worthy of “greatest game” etc. I actually consider Nioh laughable.
Death stranding…really is just a niche market. A successful one regardless but doesn’t have the global pull power to be worthy. I do think it is a great game though. Just isn’t for a lot of people. Myself included.
This is how our list differ:
1a and 1b: Elden Ring/ EX33
2. Bloodborne
3. Zelda: OoT
4. Final Fantasy X
5. GoW
6. The Last of Us
I could keep going. My point is this:
Your taste in what you consider top games of all time is universally poor and your opinion on any game really doesn’t hold much credibility to many gamers.
But the great thing is….it is all just opinions. We love what we love and that is all that really matters. I just try to give respect where respect is due even if it isn’t my cup of tea.

I’d probably have 3 jrpgs Sekiro and the Orignal Resident evil 2 as my 5
On the whole though I definitely prefer eastern rpgs than to American ones.

I just try not to act like I don’t understand why something is “over hyped”. It is hyped to the level it should be based on the amount of people generating the hype.

He used the term act three fell off a cliff and after I called him out for his hysteria even Joshrn did the same and he’s the most level headed dude here.

I 100%'d E33 (outside of the latest update which I have no interest in) so I'm pretty confident in expressing why I believe it's over-hyped.
Again, just my opinion. If you love the game, I'm happy for you. It's awesome to find games/franchises you truly love.
ETA: As mentioned in my original post, I think this game is very good (i.e. 7ish out of 10) based on the story and music, however, I'm calling it overrated because many people are calling it a 10/10 when there are glaring issues that drag the game down (IMO).

You should be very confident in expressing why you believe it’s over-hyped because it is your opinion. It is your truth.
Maybe this will come as a surprise to you…but I don’t think the game is at all perfect. I’m very confident we have some of the same complaints. I even feel confident enough in saying the MAJORITY of EX33 players have the same complaints.
They are just really minor for me and likely the masses when it comes to the big picture experience of the game.

Again. This is where I'll reiterate that gaming is subjective. If you didn't think there were issues, or they weren't glaring for you, I'm happy for you, that's awesome!
Unfortunately, they were for me and it affected my overall feelings on the game.
However, the great thing is that it doesn't matter. Blitzed can love a game and Sl0thstronautEsq can think it's just okay and life will keep moving on

Act 2 was the climax. Act 3 was just the story closure and “hey…go have fun…however you want to have fun”. Go become OP and one shot bosses or guess what….don’t become OP and fight bosses.
The plot doesn’t miss. The gameplay changes sure….but how it changes is totally on the player.
Why bitch about being too strong when you choose to be that way. Just take the fricking picto off. Adjust your settings. That just isn’t a viable complaint imo. Not that is one of his complaints but just in general.
Little things like that. So dumb.

Yeah, I think the biggest difference is the issues that most people have with the game are minor, and for me they're major?
Again, not saying it isn't a good (or great) game, I'm just saying I think it's overrated.

It might already be there, but I think Clair will be considered one of the greatest AND one of the most "oh my god, would you please shut up about it" games in history.

Yeah, we clearly have different opinions on greatest games of all time, but it's all good. I think the variety is one of the things that makes gaming great!

Exactly!
It’s all about your experience and how the game makes your feel.
Some just do a better job at providing that for more of the gaming population. If that makes a game overrated then I guess I just like a lot of really overrated games!

I guess t his board thinks I shed a tear every time someone talks shite about Ubisoft.
I could very well get this game down the road. Heard too many great things about the story. Just know turn based is a steep hill for me to climb. I'm hesitant to spend even $50 for a game where's there's a high chance I would drop it for that reason alone.
I know, it has a parry mechanic, but I'm not there yet with my curiosity.
