From my experience there is no level scaling. Idk how far you are into the game but im a fairly good bit past where you get 4 party members and have done all the side content, at least as far as im aware, outside of certain bosses that are clearly meant for the endgame.

On another note this game is great. It is a masterclass in story telling and establishing things quickly and efficiently in a satisfying manner.

Indeed. I agree with your above statement as well about Maelle. She can absolutely crank out some insane damage if you set things up properly, especially to single targets. She is the most fun to use imo of the first 4 but the combat is excellent all the same

I generally only dodge with the jump attacks of the big walkers.

I’m glad I’m playing on expert. Feels good when you get parry on point.

I generally die at least once in big battles. The green guy killed me at least 5 times.

Just left the manor and gave the chain nevron his bomb and killed the blacksmith nevron. Calling it for the night. May not be able to play again until next week

Game is pretty trippy. The whole underwater setting with the manor out of nowhere felt like something straight out of Alice and wonderland lol

Is there any reason to use a token for a haircut? Thinking about saving this one.

As long as you are checking everywhere you should find journals.

I have found 5 of them. The world map is segregated by abilities you get in the main story. Just make sure you are checking all the optional areas on it and inside the main story dungeons and you will find them

Yeah I got that. Just not sure why I should use one for a haircut.

But it seems it's not an inventory item. Just feels like a thing I'd typically keep in this sort of game.

ETA: finally found a good answer. Can only get that haircut at that vendor. Good enough for me. Went ahead and purchased it.

I agree with that, but it seems the token doesn't get you anything else.

The completionist in me just couldn't let it go.
