Callisto Protocol has some of the worst melee combat I've ever seen in a video game

I thought they fixed it, but even in it's fixed state, I find the combat to almost make this game uplayable.

Did you just start you first playthrough? Mid - late game you really become a lot less reliant on melee, so it’s not too big a deal. I really enjoyed the game and the melee wasn't a detractor for me, but I suppose everyone has their own tastes. I’m actually gonna go back and replay the game now that the story DLC is out.

Game looks like shite. I’ll prob get it when it’s 15 bucks or something though. Apparently the dodging is as simple as alternating left and right and there is 0 variance. Just lol

I watched The Completionist's episode on it. That guy is over the top nice and forgiving (refreshing lol) but even he was pretty down on that game.
It was being advertised as the next Dead Space which got me pumped but that scared me away.

I was a day 1 buyer and played it for a couple hours and haven’t touched it since. The melee was horrible. It’s a shame, because the story and acting value was good.
