re: Breath of the Wild is absurd

They give me the best open world Zelda …
Then they give me a million generic looking shrines and 4 generic looking dungeons.
They give me the best open world Zelda…and they don’t include temples/dungeons built in to that open world.
The game robbed me of a chance to find a forest temple hidden and built into one of the many forest they had to offer. Same for the other common temples/dungeons.
The divine beast lacked atmosphere in a game that was supposed to be all about the atmosphere.
Hyrule castle was legit. I just wanted more places liked that incorporated through the beautiful world they built.
They missed the ball.
Horizon Zero Dawn should have won GoTY that year.

That's probably my biggest complaint, along with the Gannon battle being pretty underwhelming and anticlimactic. Way more bothersome than the weapons system.
Still one of the best games I've ever played.

I only played it on PC where you could nerf the weapon degradation and rain and other stupid things like that.
I doubt I would have enjoyed it as much otherwise. It was no twilight princess, that's for sure.

Yes and no. Switch games are packaged weird as hell. Takes some tinkering to get the right format.
