If tweet fails to load, click here. Apparently EA has an exclusive action simulation right to their bid, but we’ll see. I would hope 2K didn’t send that tweet for nothing
Also, I’m very interested if the dev team gets to scan ALL 364 division 1 gymnasiums for this game. Would be cool to see, but a very tall task. The women's/mens CBB rosters together are about as big as the 134 CFB rosters, so I have no doubt regarding that front.

Man if we could get this, college baseball, and then the NFL turns around and brings back Blitz: The League…..I’d be pretty happy

Um you don't have to use the stick. All you have to do is press the square button to do a normal layup.
I was being a bit hyperbolic, but I hadn't played a 2K game in years and opted to try 2K23. Everything felt more complicated than it should have.
I prefer one button for a layup/dunk, crossovers to be a simple stick movement to one side or the other.
I tried searching the settings to see if there a button config that was simpler, but I never found it.
Also wasn't a fan of the shot meter.
Maybe I need to fool around with it more, but after a couple hours, I get fed up and just left it.

I'm kinda in the same boat. For whatever reason I just can't seem to figure it out. I've probably purchased 4-5 versions of NBA2K over the years when they go on super discount at the end of the season, or for free altogether when they appear on Playstation Plus, but I never get more than a few hours into them before I give up. The shame is that it is the best sports game in terms of customization out there...specifically when it comes to setting up historical playoffs or seasons using all of the class teams through the years. That is right up my alley but because I can't figure out the gameplay, I can't stick with it.

I hate the shot meter as well but thankfully they also give you the option to turn it off. The great thing about 2k games is they give you so many options to customize it to your liking.

I would be very surprised if they did this. Especially since last years cfb game didn't have all the bowl game stadiums scanned.

If 2k can get in they could pump out a game relatively fast. There have been mods for NCAA teams for 2k games for years so they could easily reskin nba 2k25 and put out the college version. Then kill us with micro transactions for uniforms, shoes, vintage teams, etc.

I would definitely buy it. The only reason I don't play the NCAA mods is because you can't recruit, play in all real stadiums/teams etc.

I usually do it just to scratch the itch around March Madness. Plays well and the basics are there for a quick NCAA 2k26 release.
To be fair, my dumb arse still gets nba2k annually to take up space on my HD so I can scroll by it or play it 3-4 times during the season.
Short version: If they sell it, I’ll buy it. Still play college hoops from time to time as well.

Just release one game that you can pay a few dollars to update rosters in following years.
