Blizzard has delayed OverWatch 2 and Diablo IV

To no surprise.
I don't think many expected Diablo IV before 2023 but that makes it sound like it was going to be next year.

They were just saying Overwatch League would start next Spring on an OW2 build. Ffs.

How do you delay a game that has no release date.
The answer is that blizzard has no yet what they are doing with Diablo 4. It shows in their quarterly updates. They are pimping audio and graphics and have little at all to say about itemization and gameplay.

Blizzard is killing Overwatch by switching to 5v5. It is creating a massive need to rework most of the roster. If they stayed at 6v6 this game probably could really release by April 2022 as was just being stated probably not even a month ago.
Now OW1 will continue to just get it's usual events with skins and no new maps or heroes.
