As long as they don't make me invincible. Seems like that would take the fun out of the game.

I mostly run visual mods. The loot change mods are nice and there's a variety to choose from so you can get loot more tuned to your playstyle. If your an archer, more bows and arrows, less 2 handed and heavy armor. Another one I like is the buffed civil war mods (can't remember the name) but it basically just adds diversity to units and has a few large scale battles put in, 40 v 40 or so.
Other then those I haven't really messed around with many mods so I'm interested in what others say as well.

Must get: there's a mod that lets you carry 10,000 and another that has every merchant carrying 10,000 money.
Others you need:
1. Lighting one that makes it more fantasy than dark and depressing
2. Find more loot
3. Craft everything
4. Daedric merchants. Save you hours

I don't see much need for mods TBH. The game is awesome as is in my opinion.

I spent hours and hours playing it on PS3 with no mods back in 2011-12. The mods I have save time. For example like allowing you to get all the loot you want without having to go to a merchant or two every hour while playing.

Only two non visual mod I use is one for "unlimited" carry and one for unlimited sprinting. Pretty much with the same idea. Didn't really want to make the game easier, just saves some time when traveling long distances and not having to pit stop to unload loot.

"unlimited" carry
This is cool until you have to much shite to go through. I found out the hard way when it would take 5 minutes to find what I was looking for. I now use the ring that adds 1000 carry weight because it makes me unload my stuff every now and then, but not after every single excursion.

Will downloading the visual mods keep you from earning PS4 trophies?

I think all mods disable trophies.
I could be wrong about that, though.

This actually just happened. I had to put some items in a chest at High Hrothgar but I couldn't remember the item's name so I spent 10 minutes searching through all my items before googling the name.

I had the same issue except I had a chest full of bs in all my homes. So I spent an entire day looking for a key. And eventually, I realized it was in my inventory
