Anyone else interested in this or picking it up? It looks pretty good to me, at least visually. I’m really happy to get more action games that aren’t souls likes and I’m very curious what gamefreak can bring to the table in a game not named Pokémon
People have gone hands on with it which to my knowledge was solely the access media are gushing over it FWIW if you value their input. Usually when a game isn’t in any way politics adjacent and they all are unanimous in their praise imo they’re likely telling it how it is

I’m really glad and think it’s super awesome character action games are making a fearsome return from when they basically didn’t exist during the ps4 generation and everything that was an action game was mostly a souls like and some rare hack and slashes
Tides of annihilations is another character action game coming i think looks dope

It’s a character action game
At least thats my understanding of it. I could be wrong of course im not totally positive I just havent seen it described that way anywhere.

Hopefully the new tomb raider is good and that is a proper tomb raider game

luckily I still haven't played cyberpunk so I have it on the back burner, but it looks pretty bleak the rest of the year

Definite buy for me. A lot of those mechanics and descriptions sounds right up my alley. Game looks beautiful as well. Also only 60$ so that is worth supporting.

The access media is gushing about this game as much as they can at this time as they’re all under embargo.
I don’t really trust them most of the time but there is nothing really political about this game or any other angle that would provide alternate motives for praising the game.
I’m guessing it ends up with a high 80s meta score like 88% but if it actually has a good story to go along with what appears to be very strong gameplay I could see it hitting into the low 90s.
My hype for it is definitely building.
