If you're taking about the guy with the horrible screen name, I didn't knight. I just didn't see how that thread was a troll.

DoD allowed you to prime grenades, but you had to throw them on the ground first, then pick them up and time it

I'll be testing this out at EA Play on June 9, but my excitement has drastically been reduced after seeing the trailer. If the gameplay is anything like this, it will be the first Battlefield I skip, coming from one of the biggest fanboys.

How are these devs so clueless? They could finally put the nail in the COD coffin and instead they go full retard. These people live in the world that thinks Hillary won. My only hope for 2018 is RDR2. Thank god those guys don't cave to PC SJW BS.

Why would they need to do that?

give it a try for free with EA pass.

I used to have EA Pass. Isn't it $50? I only see myself downloading it for Battlefield so idk if it is worth it for me.

ETA: Nevermind, I'll use it for Madden, FIFA, and 2K too. I wish I could include NCAA in there as well

Really felt like they disrespected WW2.

Especially with the woman with a club and a claw. WTF

JackFrags or LevelCap or maybe both posted a video explaining some of the gameplay features that the reveal inexplicably left out.

I suggest you watch them. You will know a lot more about this once you see the game at EA Play.

Still, I’m turned off by the robot claw hand. What is that about? And all the character customization doesn’t belong in a game about WWII.

I know it’s a game. I know it’s not a true life documentary. But to me Battlefield games did just enough to stay true to the settings and eras and retain the feel of a gritty game with some liberties taken in lieu of game mechanics.

It looks like this pushes those boundaries. And WWII deserves better than that.

Anyway, I’m sure DICE will deliver as always. This reveal just sort of falls flat with me personally.

What makes people think it's a robotic hand? Looks like a claw prosthetic to me. And I mentioned this in the other thread that those specific characters are for the co-op part of the game.

It just...doesn’t fit. But whatever, it’s a game. No big deal to many, I just don’t care for it.

This doesn’t mean they are going to have space age suits for the soldiers

I’d imagine that all of the customization options are WWII related

ETA - for clarity, the female with the prosthetic threw me for a loop as well..

Also, I’m not bashing the game or anything, but the reveal trailer was a bit........ odd? Seems like they took whatever random war carnage they could think of, then put it in a thirty second clip... still really excited about the actual game though - I think the changes and the new game modes will be fantastic

Think they are maybe trying to cash in on the cosmetic micro-transaction trend? Removing DLC cost will be offset if they go the Fortnite route with cosmetics.

Or did they already shoot that down.

We've had plenty of games that have been "reverent" to the setting, and I've think we've had our fill. It needs to be a fun game. Inglourious Basterds was about as irreverent as you can get, but it was a fun movie.

Bottom line, if the MP is fun, people will play it. If stuff like that bothers you, co-op is optional. And I don't see any harm in being able to customize my soldier.

I'll say it again, people THINK they want bare bone games, but a) it would bore them before long, and b) developers and publishers just aren't going to build a game around simplicity anymore. It's not what sells. Ignore the customization if it's not your thing, easy enough to do. If it bothers you because you feel it pisses on what WWII was about, well that's your call.
