not have to face console poors with aim assist.
LOL I have a nice PC and a gaming laptop but I'll be playing Battlefield on PS5. Maybe it's the poors that can't afford the consoles.

You're a console poor we get it, you don't have to cope.

Well now you are.

The Dice Devs have come out and stated that one of the changes from the BETA they are making is to tone down aim assist completely, stating there will be no noticeable advantage to playing on console over PC. So just ignore him.

any input device is an old argument. you can play with a m/kb on console now. have been for awhile. i remember playing fortnite with a m/kb on PS4.

All 7 people. PC gamers use MKB, the only ones that don't are forced to use a console controller because they are bad and don't actually know how to aim without assist from AI. BF is a PC centered game and community, instantly turn off crossplay and enjoy gaming like a big dawg with fellow big dawgs.

I tried playing an old battlefield a while back and the map was so big i just ran for like 10 minutes then got killed right away.
Are the maps smaller? do they have small maps like COD size? I like the size of the COD maps, but hate everything else about COD.

Yes, they have smaller maps. In fact the BETA was mostly what you would consider small BF maps with a single Medium map. There are also CQC playlists that may be more of your cup of tea.
Once the full release hits on Friday, you’ll be able pick and choose how and what game type and what map you play using Server Browser and the Portal features as well. It’s as simple as searching, filtering, sorting depending on the map and game type experience you are looking for. You will also be able to spin up your very own BF server where you chose the game type experience, so you could pick the smallest map in the game and set it to run match after match after match to that one map.
In fact, most of the BF community complained that there were only smaller maps available in the Battlefiled 6 BETA. But we’ve been told Medium, Large, and even X-Large maps are coming.
So don’t let that keep you from pulling the trigger Friday

PC players that use a controller have the same aim assist as those on console.
Yeah, looks like Hog missed my sarcasm for sure..
not surprising since he glazed over the other facts and posted a picture that literally negates his argument, since when we all play together in a lobby, none of those settings matter
And to cut this off before he offers it up, even if it were a PC only lobby, it could be $100 laptop vs $3000 pc

I think there's two big maps on launch and another two coming soon

This is a disingenuous statement. You know good and well that these two are not the same.
Anywho, I'll be on after work Friday. I preloaded on EA on Oct. 3.

anywho….
what’s yalls take on this apparent drama/outrage over Opened vs Closed Weapons per Classes? I can see the case for either, but don’t really care either way.
I’d prefer Dice just pick one and go with it instead of splitting the matchmaking player pool. Not that, that will be a problem with as many people pre-ordered and played the BETA.

I prefer they went back to strictly closed but I’ll play open

I think there will be enough players that it won't matter. I like that they give the option, more choice is always good. I'll play both.

No I was just laughing because very few PC players use a controller for shooters. And a console controller having console aim assist is not new, it's still just not as good as raw input with a mouse if you're even just an average MKB PC player. Controllers need it because joysticks are much slower, less accurate and have drift.

FYI - if you’re planning on taking a last minute trip to New Zealand tomorrow night, that won’t work.
the BF6 release will be a static global release:

I see you're back..
when we log onto a crossplatform lobby, will it be running at 144hz and matter what video card you have or will it be running in the 60-120 range and dump to whatever internet you have...
I'll hang up and listen
