Dice has to be doing something more than a polish of BF3 and BF4. I'd welcome a WWII game. Dice, BF franchise, and today's tech could kill a WWII FPS.

The WWI stuff sounds sketchy but I'd give it a shot.

WWI would be so terrible. I have no idea why anyone would want to play that.

Yeah. I like the variety of weapons that BF has given me in BF3 and BF4. Even with WWII we're narrowing it down a bit with weapons, but with WWI what is the draw there? There just doesn't seem to be anything fun to mess around with. I'd consider a WWI mod or side game or something ancillary a good idea, but the whole game? No thank you.

If they did it right, probably. It's why I hated World at War so much. They modernized WWII and it just didn't feel right to me.

Saw a tweet earlier saying an EA employee kind of accidentally confirmed that it will be called Battlefield 5, which is probably of no surprise.

the speculation and leaks for it are crazy right now. But that makes sense with regards to WW1.

I would be so down with BF5 being modern and then remastering BF1942. Or if they do something wacky with BF5 and remastered BF1942 and BF2 I would still buy and probably never play whatever stupid crap they do to the new game much like IW and CoD4.

My pants are so ready for CoD4 Remastered tho.

I think CoD4 was the better game. Even though MW2 was more fun.

If bf1942 AND bfbc2 are involved, that would be pure boner time. Id expect evolution peptides and iron dragons sales to plummet.

I remember going back to it on my 360 one time, and it was rough and bare bones compared to what I was used to at the time (think I was playing BLOPS). I want to say, if I remember it correctly, MW2 played much smoother.

Yes, MW2 was probably the best it got as far as performance.

To what the other guy said, if they remastered BC2 that would also be incredible.

That's on the XBox Dashboard. It's legit.

Along with this "Road to Battlefield" thing they've been doing. I wonder if there is an historic buildup to the actual setting in the game.

ETA: @Battlefield is taking polls on BF1942 and BF2. Hmmm...

"Everything has a beginning"

It looks like it could be an expansion pack. Maybe they are going to do a BF2 and BF1942 expansion...
