AT&T (T) is considering selling its Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment gaming unit for around $4 billion to reduce its heavy debt burden, people familiar with the matter have told CNBC.
According to the sources, potential buyers include major gaming companies Take-Two Interactive Software (TTWO), Electronic Arts (EA) and Activision Blizzard (ATVI). However, they added that no deal is assured or imminent at this point.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is made up of 10 game studios including TT Games, and owns the “Mortal Kombat” and the “Scribblenauts” series.
It was snapped up by AT&T as part of the $109 billion Time Warner deal which closed in 2018 and left T struggling to manage a $150 billion debt.

Oh God no!
Activision and Blizzard have an unmistakable fecal touch and EA would charge $5 to activate each button on the controller.
Netherrealm could probably survive independent of WB.

Activision and Blizzard
Such a sad truth.
There was a time when I trusted that any have Blizzard released was going to be pure gold. Pretty much up until the Activision buyout, though they weren't in quite their prime anymore at that point either.

If you're as diehard of a fan of the Arkham series as I am, this is the worst possible news you could get.
Only Rocksteady and WB Montreal understand what makes a good Batman Arkham game.
A studio like EA or Activision would water the hell of it down and it would be the WOAT.
