If I had died I wouldn't have had more time with my wife and children either, but that doesn't mean I want the Army to figure out a way to have my family on the battlefield with me , you know just in case.

No hero here, I just don't get hating on a fricking game company because you chose to be involved with a military knowing full well it would probably cut into your gaming time.

dude let me break it down for you. People use it as a stand alone machine when they have a chance. The xbox needing to check in every day makes that impossible this isn't about getting on call of duty and playing multiplayer. Its basically the bare bones basics of gaming.

this video is pure arrogance when a sailor post a legit question about wanting to game on his downtime while on a tour out at sea. A huge chunk of active duty is gamers who game at home and of course they want to bring that with them as some what a thing to do on their free time.

Good, now let me break this down for you. Microsoft is under NO obligation to build a machine to your specifications.

Frankly, anyone who doesn't have an internet connection capable of the minimal once a day connection shouldn't be spending $500 on a gaming console anyway.

Is the XBOne gonna be the first product that will only be of use to those who have a good internet connection? Of course not.

I seen a refrigerator the other day that has an internet connection for God only knows what reason, but there it was.

Should a person who doesn't have internet be pissed that they can't fully utilize that refrigerator , or should they maybe buy a refrigerator that they can make use of??

It's that simple.

dude this is just fanboy talk

don't tell the consumer this is the only way shite will be done. People like to have a choice and like to still use their products when sometimes prime conditions are not there. Good example is me using my iphone 4 in germany to text and use apps to talk to people in the states with only having wifi but not regular signal.

Did you just accuse me of being a fan boi? LOL

I have a PS3, a Wii, and a 360.

I've stated that eventually I will probably buy both the XBOne and the PS4.

I think both current systems are great systems and have no doubt that the new systems will both be great systems.

I'm not mad. Just think its ridiculous that a serviceman is whining about not being able to get online with his XBox while in a warzone.

Then don't have it. How fricking hard is that to explain to you?

I swear to God, if you don't have a DL do you go buy a car and then bitch about the car as if it's its fault you don't have a DL?

Do you sign up for NetFlix and then bitch about not being able to watch NetFlix when you don't have a network connection?

For frick's sakes.......................

I understand your "suck the frick up message", but this argument doesn't make sense IMO. The nature of Netflix requires internet. The nature of playing offline single player games does not.

The nature of watching movies used to be go to the video store and rent movies. Times change. Why wouldn't the video game industry change in a similar manner?

It does is those single player games will now require a cloud to use some of the game's features.

Well I didn't want the guy to feel like I was insulting his service in anyway, because certainly I was not.
