This just happen to my account...got to level 38 and boom, no multiplayer.
We are aware of the system lock-up issues that some players are experiencing on the Playstation 3 platform in Black Ops II at this time. Our entire team is working tirelessly to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
These issues include but are not limited to:
Entering a public multiplayer lobby and observing a system lock-up
Entering a public multiplayer lobby and receiving the error, “An error occurred while trying to find a session, please try again”
In order to aid us in our investigation of these issues, please fill out this form and provide additional information about your experience.
We sincerely appreciate your patience while our engineers work to resolve these issues, and look forward to seeing you in game shortly.

Okay, Here Are The Fixes For The Following Errors:
Black Ops 2 Loading Screen Freeze.
Multiplayer Server Connection Fail.
Multiplayer Lag.
Loading Screen Freeze Fix
Here Is How To Stop Your PS3 From Freezing At The Loading Screen:
(Some Of You Have Not Been Able To Play The Game Because It Freeze's At Load Up)
Step.1: Re Set Your Router/ Modem
Step 2: Connect To PSN ( But DO NOT Log In) If You Get Logged In Sign Out
Step 3: Start Black Ops II Logged Out Of PSN
Step 4: Log In Once At The Main Menu
Step 5: Enjoy
Multiplayer Server Error Fix:
This Has Nothing To Do With Your Connection.
This Is 100% a Real Server Error.
The Black Ops II Servers Are Not 100% Up And Running, Most Users In The West Cost Get This Error As It Is Only 1130PST
78% Of The Users In The East Cost Are Able To Connect And Blay Multiplayer. This Is Because It Is 230ish.
If You Cant Connect - Wait Till 1-2PM PST. I Promise You Will Be Able To Connect.
This Same Thing Happened With The Relese Of Cod4 & WaW.

Matchmaking services are enabled. All other services are undergoing continued maintenance in preparation for launch (Films, Emblem Editor, CODTV, Leaderboards, Recent Games, etc). Occasional disconnects should be expected.

I've just started playing the campaign mode for now to get it knocked out of the way. Game isn't as fun playing with a bunch of random noobs
