Have you tried pressing the skill moves button whenever you take your first touch or are you pressing the sprint button? The sprint button will always cause bad first touches, and I find the skill move button controls it

This is nothing new. To those of you struggling with poor first touches, this is the solution.

It astounds me that more people don't realize that. When I play FIFA with someone for the first time, I always emphasize holding down the control/jockey button all the time.

Thank you guys for the skill moves pointer on receiving a pass. I never had to do it on previous games and in my first game trying it I scored 4 goals in the first half

So I'm counting down the hours until I get off of work so I can go play. But I'm curious what the USMNT looks like, ratings and starting XI wise. Anyone with the game checked that yet?

Who else is loving some of the subtle (okay maybe not so subtle) changes in career. Love the addition of counter offers in transfer negotiations and the ability to add players to deals as well. So far Career is way more in depth than it was in 12

Wow, very nice FIFA, not only do you have the option to become an international manager, you have players who go out on international duty... Just lost Gerrard, Walcott, Reina, and Suarez for a Euro Cup match. Loving this game so far.

Has anyone been offered an international team to manage yet? Thought I read it's something you have to earn as you prestige up.

So I've played a little over 20 Pro Club matches and am loving it. Way more right than wrong from what I've noticed so far.

this game has some issues. i've played 3 games online and i've found some tactical patterns that make this game bleh

the first touch kills 1/2 - 2/3 of all counters. even if you're passing out to a superb dribbler who isn't sprinting, he'll lose it often...this includes if you use the skill/touch button

you can pass it normally without much worry to midfielders, but if you loft a slow lead ball, it gets lost all the time. hard normal passes? no problem. soft through balls? FIRE BALLS

offensively, the strategy to use is to just load the box and shoot. rebound goals are all over the place, and it's hard to stop them consistently. it's also hard as frick to clear, and since your defenders have shite touch, it's REALLY frickING EASY for offensive players to steal the ball and shoot

then, let me remind you that counters are fricking destroyed, so there is little incentive not to just load the box. 4-2-4 is the formation. throw 6 men in the box and sit back with your defenders. then once the other team slowly moves it back, they do the same. over and over
