Nope. You can watch some YouTube videos if you want to get familiarized with the story and lore beforehand, but it’s not necessary.

Been playing all night with a buddy of mine. He was a huge fan of the first one where as I only played the beta of division 1 and hated it. Having a blast with 2 though! A great game and tons of content. Already looking forward to running missions tomorrow night and getting better gear! If anyone is on the fence I’d say buy it. If you like shooters and love loot games, this is for you.

Is Division 2 cross platforms? I started playing on PC last night and it’s actually really fun. Definitely need to get some friends though. Some of the missions were really hard solo.

Keep your old/unused armor pieces (ie do not sell or break them down) you will need them for donations to complete projects.

That's good to know. Also just explore and do all kinds of random stuff. The main missions scale up to your level it appears so when you get assigned a lvl 3 main mission if you wait til you are lvl 7 it will become a lvl 6-8 mission

Anyone gotten to the Space Administration mission yet?
I'm soloing it right now (XBOX) and the boss at the end is fricking brutal. His entrance is so sweet though.

JamSMILEY on PS4 call for help has not helped me I was on on Odessa store side mission for and hour never got help. I figured out how to beat the mission tuned off call for help. As soon as I did that they asked me to help someone else

As soon I finish the Horizon Zero Dawn expansion I'm probably gonna get this next. I was thinking about going with RDR2 but not sure I want to dive into that yet.

I loved what the Division became. Really want to get 2 but have a lot with school and don’t want to get sucked in.
I can’t express how much I loved division and from what I’ve seen 2 looks amazing. And I like what they’ve done with the year of updates and can’t wait to see how raids work.
One question though. Did they bring back survival? That mode was so much fun

I don't know if helping progresses your settlement I don't think I got credit for a control point

I think XP and loot is saved for sure, but not sure about other stuff. I would assume so though?
