re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons Official Thread (March 20)

So this is the 3rd day in a row where I don’t see and can’t find the buried $1000 bells glowing golden spot in the ground.

Day 1: did all my daily duties and noticed I didn’t see it but didn’t think anything of it because I didn’t do a thorough search.

Day 2(yesterday): I did a full search and sweep on the island back and forth and behind cliffs and objects and buildings.

Day 3(today): I fully scoured the entire island back and back and again and can not find it anywhere...

Has anyone else encountered this? Is it possible it can spawn in the ground beneath objects? I have a lot of fossils and things placed around, not to mention all the mannequins. I’m stumped.

It’s definitely not because of the trees. I have a constant cycle of saplings and small trees and growing money trees all in small area. Every day , I cut down the mature tree , dig up the stump, and put the nursery tree in its place. I’ve been doing this for weeks.

But now this is 3rd day with none to be found. Strangely it does happen to coincide with the day I deployed all the mannequins.

I'm not sure if that matters or not. I usually buy anything real that he has plus I use my wife's account or invite my cousin over to buy the fake crap for me if I want to use it elsewhere. I think he's only been over like 3 times and I think we have 4 pieces of art total in the museum. Sure wish he'd stop by more often though, him and Gulliver.

Naaaa It's just random. Until Friday last wee it was 2.5 weeks of no Redd for me, and I'm currently on 2.5 weeks without CJ.

I feel like I get Sahara every week, Leif every week, and everything else cycles through some long times.

My daughter and I spent all night going to islands looking for a new villager since Bertha moved out. Went thru about 10 nook miles tickets apiece and finally landed Marina the Octopus


Also we learned there are some hideous character designs out there

Turnips are at 489 until noon central! Dodo Code 0GKND for now. I will probably edit this out and throw this up on Turnip Exchange once I'm sure most people have had a chance to come through.

Make as many trips as you need - if I get to a point where I need to close the gate to set up turnip exchange I will give everyone a heads up and post the link too. Will probably be closer to 9:30a for that though.

Thanks again! I've got another inventory full of turnips but I'll hang onto them for now and see if anyone else hits it big. Not that I'm hurting for Bells
