Thanks again. And your island is still badass as always

Thanks.

Leaving my code that I posted on here the same and entering it into the exchange. Anyone who doesn't want to deal with the high traffic, I'll open up later for all on here.

No tips. I'm satisfied with our island and just want everyone to have a chance to sell.

All of the flower guides posted at launch were wrong, pretty much. Some of them even had wrong colors paired to breed, they promoted the 5x5 grid that didn't turn out to be true and they vastly underestimated the mechanisms of passing along genetics and what was required to produce certain flowers. Data mining shored some of that up in the last month and the newer guides are out that better reflect the crazy deep rabbit hole you have to go down in order to get some of these final level hybrids.

Appreciated it.

Everyone is welcome to come sell but there are 20 waiting on the turnip exchange, four at a time. It might take a while to get in and out.

The good news is that if you can get just one flower, the cloning process is way easier than attempting to breed a second flower of that color.

So I had a friend give me one blue rose, and I put it in a clone bed - essentially it's a 2x6 patch where no two of the same kind of flower touch. So the top row might be blue rose, green mum, blue rose, and the second row might be purple tulip (under blue rose), Pink Cosmo (under green mum), purple tulip (under blue rose).

Make sure nothing surrounding the 2x6 grid would obstruct breeding - you want it entirely surrounded by free spaces.

Get five visitors to water it in a day and you up the potential chance for it to breed to 85%. in a 2x6 grid someone stands on the center of the bottom row and can hit all six with a single use of the non-flimsy watering can.

The next morning 5-6 of them will have replicated themselves, because they were triggered to reproduce and there was nothing touching them they could breed with.

It's such a useful method that if you have more than one going, and have multiple visitors watering every day, your flower production can actually get entirely out of hand very quickly.

So with some of the more complex breeding situations, like roses or pansies, you need to breed hybrid colors before you can breed other hybrids. Off the top of my head, the 5x5 pansy grid said that if you put two reds next to each other, you'd get a purple, which is impossible.

You need to breed a blue and a red to get a hybrid red to get purple pansies. The 5x5 grid would result in spawns that would actually make it less likely to get the different colors you're breeding for.

Thankfully now with Lief around it's easier to get the seed packets to get proper starters going, but I absolutely ragequit my breeding flowerbeds the day I got this .doc and just got someone to give me a starter to clone, haha.

Thank you sir!!
That last dude must have crashed your island though. I have NM tickets with your name on them. Just let me know when.

I was still exiting Nooks and couldn't leave a tip.

Open now but the traffic is awful. I'm just sitting on a bench and collecting tips.

If anyone wants to wait until later to avoid the long wait, I'm closing the gates and reopening in a few hours.

How does the exchange work? I might do that tomorrow when my large spike hits

Edit: is it an app or a site you post a dodo code?

https://turnip.exchange

You'll need a DoDo code. Once you enter all of your info, you'll get a link.

You can find many places on social media to post it, at which point people join the queue and come and go without you having to do anything other than collect tips:

I had as many as 35 in there earlier. I've made 40+ NMTs, close to four million in bells and have collected ten gold.
