I did. I ran around my island a couple of times, top to bottom and he wasn't anywhere to be found.
Walked in the Able sisters when they opened and he's in there. This game knows what I'm up to. Yesterday, he spent most of the time I played either in his house, Nooks or the museum.

The little bastard is creepy. I tried blocking his door this morning with a hamster cage.
