Yes. You have to be online with the airport as well. If you put it to sleep your connection is terminated.

How does everyone get good stuff from Gullver and all he gave me was a sombrero? Also I have tons of scallops but I can’t get pascal to take more than one at a time. Is there something I’m missing?

I think the Gulliver gifts are random. I have not received anything cool yet but I'm hoping for something next time. That is correct, visitors cannot sell to flick or CJ which is a shame. I had CJ tonight and I guess I'll see him again this weekend.

Thanks for the tip and darn that is a shame. That takes some of the fun out of having them on the island.
Other question: one day I planted $99,000 bells on a glowing money tree spot and got 3 bags of $99,000 but then another day I only got $10,000 when I did the same thing. Anybody know what’s going on there?

I had Gulliver yesterday. At the advice of AHM21 , I used all my kids accounts. We got Stonehenge , 2 cool random masks, and 1 POS hat.
I’m gonna use all accounts from now on to hopefully guarantee a good item.
Last time he showed up, I got Statue of Liberty. This time, we got Stonehenge.
