Advice on how to get a PS5 ASAP after release date.

I unfortunately didn’t get a preorder. I’m working remotely so I’ll be able to drive wherever I need to on release date to try and find one. What advice do you have? Why didn’t they make enough units to satisfy the customer need

Go to a store that you know had preorders, wait for a person that pre-ordered one to emerge from said store with the ps5, rob said person, boom you now have a ps5

Unfortunately this is probably your best option, until after Christmas. Unless you are willing to pay double the price to get one.

Start sleeping with the manager at GameStop. When you get the PS5, break up with him! Remind him that you will post y'alls pictures to TD and he should back off.

C'mon man, did you really think there was a secret place you could go to just scoop one up on release day and you could find out where here? It's a high demand item with limited availability. The stores are supposed to have some inventory on release day, I think, be first in line or take $1000 and go to ebay and find the cheapest seller.

Is demand really supposed to be that big of an issue? I know the preorders were a cluster but didn’t expect there to be that much of a shortage after release date

Just pay an exorbitant price for someone else's preorder off of eBay.

Anyway, your best bet is to call around to local stores to see if anyone will have them on launch day for people who don't have pre-orders. Best Buy has also said they'll have more in stock on Black Friday: LINK

Best Buy also said they are only selling them for store pickup and shipped to your house, thinking you’re going to be able to walk into a store and buy one of these before Christmas is over is naive.
